I booked and paid for my one night more than six months ago. A few days before my arrival I wrote to the hotel and informed them of my arrival time. I received an answer back telling me that I would be welcomed at that time. However, standing at the reception in the evening at my arrival, I was informed that I had no booking at the hotel. I showed the receptionist my confirmed booking. I showed proof of my payment. And I kept getting the same response: “You don’t have a booking, and there is no room for you”. After about 15 minutes of basically being told to go away another staff member fortunately showed up and in less then 30 seconds I was handed my keycard. The room was clean, the cooking facilities excellent, and the location very convenient. But that in no way was able to make up for the experience at check-in.
