La Savane avec parking privatif et climatisation

😊: It was nicely done out, air con was essential during the heatwave. There was a washing machine, and tumble dryer. Everything was well maintained. It was only a 10 minute walk to the town and old town.. 😢: To access this building we just had to press the flat number and the door opened. This meant anyone could access the building. At night our buzzer kept ringing, meaning other people were using it, we took the receiver in the flat off the hook. There was a sign on every level saying that drug dealing was suspected and to keep vigilant. I suspected our flat access to be part of the problem. The afternoon we arrived, we heard shouting, and found a lady stuck in the lift. There was a language barrier. I tried to contact the owners by phone but could not get an answer. I knocked on as many doors as I could to get help. Eventually we had 3 people, and none of them knew what to do. The fire brigade eventually came and got the lady out. Not the owners fault, but we were reluctant to use the lift again. The parking below the building had the wrong height bar. I cleared this, (car with roof box) but when I got down to the first bend the roof box was clearly way too high, and we had to empty it and remove it to go further. The spaces were very tight. 4 cm on each side, so I couldn’t open the doors. We had to leave the car almost 1/3 of the way forward to get out. The carpark remote was also temperamental. And one day when we returned it took 10 minutes to get the door to open. Although the location seemed close and easy to walk into the old town, my wife didn’t feel safe walking back late at night. We ended up in empty back streets, with odd characters hanging around. This had been fine daytime, but uneasy at night. We could be wrong, but that was our feeling..

😊: The apartment is very spacious and comfortable. The instructions for arriving and leaving were very clear and given in good time. The location is convenient for visiting the historic centre - only a 10 minute walk.. 😢: Boulevard Aristide Briand is very very busy with traffic....I didn't see any cafés or shops nearby and walked quite a long way to find a supermarket. Perhaps some information could be given about shopping..

😊: The apartment was very clean and was well stocked with cleaning products and utilities. 😢: The parking area was very tight and difficult to manoeuvre the car.
