La Tour : Vue imprenable sur la ville

😊: The apartment is in really old building on the main shopping street, with a nice view. It is quite spacious and well equipped. Parking is easy to find outside, and free parking is only few minutes away by walk. A decent French breakfast was served in the basket on the entrance in the morning.. 😢: 1st BIG problem: We are a family with two kids, doing a stopover on our way home after Christmas and New Year holidays. When we entered the apartment, the heating was off and the thermostat was showing 7 deg C. We had to stay in winter clothes inside for 2h, to get the temperature up to 14-15 deg C. We had to use even an oven in the kitchen to heat up. The temperature did not get above 17 dec C even by the morning. It is impressive no one turned the heating on before our arrival, considering we were denied key code up to half an hour before our arrival. The owner pretends that somebody was cleaning the room right before we came but the heating was turned off for days! 2nd problem: the door to the apartment did not lock, literally. It is OK for the night, as the town is safe. But I had to lock my notebook in the car while going for the walk with my family. 3rd problem: once the time for the free cancellation on booking passed, the owner insisted I had to make 300 Euro security deposit by my credit card. I called her explaining this was not mentioned on the booking.com description of her apartment. She admitted that but still insisted that I had to pay, otherwise I was risking to loose the money and the reservation. Although the deposit was fully released later, I was stressed for no reason for any possible old damage that may have been put on me. Soon after our departure we got an angry message that we did not remove the trash (we left all clean and tidy, the small trash package was placed clearly outside the trash bin ready to go). Also we did not remove linen from our blankets and pillows. This is our fault indeed, we feel sorry for that. We also got a message from the owner literally begging to rate her property 10/10. I had to take 3 weeks to cool down, discuss with my family and we decided to write this extended review to justify our 4/10. Unfortunately we can not give more, not in attempts to harm the reputation, but being 100% objective..
