Large converted barn, Sleeps 16, Private pool, Close to river beach

As a group of 9 friends we met here for our annual holiday. Property is in a good location, very quiet and lots of space. Rooms are all doubles and en suite. The shared spaces are large and plentiful. Lots of butterflies and lizards just outside the door which was lovely. The river is very close by and swimming in there was great. We had a problem with lots of flies at the property which was difficult as we had to keep the windows and doors open to keep the airflow through the property, it was heating up quickly in the hot weather. Nothing really to be done about it but just to mention.Some of the bathrooms were quite tired and a couple seemed to have been leaking into the rooms below. They were clean though. The kitchen is beautiful and large, the table is a very good size for everyone to sit around. We did clean half way through the week to see if that would help with the flies, there were some areas which were perhaps missed on a couple of previous cleans but nothing too bad. All in all, if you want time away with friends or family with lots of indoor and outdoor space this is a good affordable option. The owners were very good in all their communications.

We spent a lively long week-end in la Grange , perfect for a big group with all the accommodations and a great swimming pool

We stayed as a group of 16 and had a fabulous week at La Grange. The kids loved the pool, the woods, the cinema room when it was cloudy, and the swing was a big hit. The adults loved the bbq and outdoor seating for dinner and sundowners. The kitchen was really well equipped. There was so much space and the play room / games room had toys and games for all ages. Communication was fab and they helped us with some recommendations of places to go as well. A fab week.

This was the first large family holiday we have done before and I can say the were no disappointments. The pool was awesome, the games room and pool table got so much use. The cinema was a great feature that the kids loved. Would definitely recommend A****

We spent a very enjoyable week celebrating my wife’s 40th birthday. The barn is spacious with plenty of area for the kids to play and adults to relax. The bedrooms are large and all beds very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and we enjoyed plenty of good meals at the huge dinning table. The pool is great, although the weather was unseasonably cold when we stayed and the pool had an issue and did not reach temp until the day we left. The location is perfect if you want to get away from it all. And it’s a lovely short walk into the village. We were out of season so the river beach was not set up for use when we stayed.

What a such a wonderful week at La Grange de Chatelus! We were three families (six adults, eight children) and we stayed for a week during August. The house is stunning, huge rooms, comfortable beds, amazing ensuites to all the bedrooms, multiple washing machines, tumble dryers and even two dishwashers. The kids loved the swimming pool, cinema room and pool table. Richard and Sisca were great hosts, they quickly replied to our messages and the lady who checked us in was very helpful. We had a great afternoon by the river down the road, we hired a boat and canoes which was lots of fun! The house is quite remote with a drive to supermarkets and towns but this was perfect for us. Thanks for a brilliant stay!

Lovely peaceful location. Great pool and outside eating area. Cinema room was brilliant for the children, they loved the woods and the river beach and had a great time building a den and fishing. Kitchen well equipped and there were 2 big BBQ’s that we used nearly everyday. The hosts kept in touch to make sure everything was ok and we could contact them if needed.

We were with 3 families (6 adults and 8 children including two dogs) in the beautiful accommodation of Richard and Sisca. We liked it overall very much. The accommodation is spread over three levels, downstairs is the playroom for the kids with ping pong table, dart board, kicker, PlayStation and Nintendo Wi. Also the laundry room with two washing machines and dryers is on the lower level. On the middle level is the large living room with grand piano, pool table and sitting area, the frequently used cinema room with a lot of DVD's and also books. The videos can be played on a projector with sound system. This was especially our children very happy to use. The really large kitchen is very well equipped and offers plenty of space. There are two refrigerators, a separate freezer, two dishwashers, an ice machine so that it really lacks nothing. We really liked that that. From the kitchen you can go outside at ground level. In addition, there is another toilet and a large bedroom with bathroom on the middle level. On the upper level there are 5 bedrooms with bathroom. We all found the beds to be very good. Everyone always slept well. If many people are showering at the same time, the water pressure is a little low. The outdoor area is very spacious and well maintained. The pool is large. The neighbors are far away and it is absolutely quiet. Contact to Richard and Sisca was always very good.
