Large house with covered and heated swimming pool

This was a wonderful property set in the heart of the peaceful countryside. The large garden was safe and enabled us to play many sports. The covered pool was a bonus for our family because it was heated and safe to access. Our check-in went smoothly due to a friendly face providing all the necessary information which we needed. Michelle who greeted us on arrival was a great asset to the property. She explained things clearly to us. The spacious house enabled our 4 families to have separate sleeping quarters and worked extremely well for us. The kitchen was well equipped and there was plenty of seating arrangements. We highly recommend this property and hope to return there.

The property is a great size and all rooms have en-suite bathrooms. There’s plenty of space both inside and out. However the house is very tired and in need of a spruce up. Some of the shower doors had come off their runners, the towels provided which we paid extra for along with bed linen had definitely seen better days. The Dyson didn’t work at all, one of the doors to the garden had smashed glass sellotaped together in it. The worst thing was the pool water and floor turning green after 4 days. It was treated the day after I complained to the owner but then was out of action for a further day because of the chemicals used so that meant that for nearly 3 days out of the 7 of our holiday, the pool was unusable. The water started to turn green again the day after it had been treated. The owner didn’t apologise. Considering we paid over £5000 for the week I would have expected the property and its swimming pool to have been better maintained .

We loved this property - plenty of room inside and out and the pool was close to the house so we could hang out on the outside table and keep an eye for the kids! Lovely location and convenient for Boulanger and the food shop
