😊: Not the location, but we had a car.. 😢: I checked into the property on Saturday 14th and was required to pay a £300 security deposit on arrival. On the day of check‑in, I immediately contacted the host to raise several concerns regarding the condition of the property. The towels provided were already stained, appearing to have red lipstick marks. There was no soap or shampoo available, and the tea and coffee supplies had not been replenished as expected. In addition, the property had a strong musty smell and appeared to smell of mould. I also noted that the bedding did not appear to have been freshly changed or cleaned prior to my stay. Upon checkout, I formally requested the return of my £300 deposit. This request was refused on the basis of “stains on the towels”, despite the fact that these stains were present upon arrival and had been reported to the host on the day of check‑in. I have retained screenshots of my message sent on Saturday, in which I documented these concerns and requested a mobile number so that I could provide photographic evidence. Furthermore, I was presented with a list of several household tasks that were required to be completed prior to cleaners attending, which I consider unreasonable and inappropriate. Given that the issues cited were pre‑existing and clearly reported at the start of my stay, there is no justification for withholding my deposit. I am therefore seeking the immediate return of the full £300 security deposit and appropriate resolution of this matter. I do not recommend staying here has they appear to take your deposit without returning it! France - Bergerac is amazing, the place and food BUT DO NOT STAY HERE.

😊: Very well equipped and clean property. Very quiet and effective air conditioning which was much needed during our stay. Communication with hosts was excellent. Close to an excellent boulangerie and Lidl and a large E Leclerc supermarket at the top of the road which was ideal for self catering.. 😢: Nothing..

😊: Spotless accommodation with everything we required. Great communication and prompt responses to our queries (from the owners). Great Boulangerie within a 3 min walk and a Lidl within 6 minutes walk. Excellent value for money.. 😢: It was a longer walk to old town than we would have liked, but still managable in just under 15 mins..

😊: The flat is really big and it was nice we could enter earlier in the flat..
