Le Charmélie 1600

Charmelie is a wonderful chalet in Flaine. It’s very spacious downstairs with a large, well stocked kitchen including a big oven and 3 fridges. We ordered fresh bread and croissants each day which were delivered by 7am. We were a group of 15 which included 6 adults, 3 teenagers and younger kids ranging from 2-9 years old. The beds were very comfortable however anyone staying with the maximum number of 15 people would need to be aware that the 4 beds in the mezzanine area are very cramped and with little headroom and no storage space so really only suitable for young children. Some of the bedrooms have very little storage space for clothes. We were pretty much living out of our suitcase with clothes on the floor in some of the bedrooms. Overall I would recommend Charmelie as there are so many positives. It’s only a 10-12 min walk (uphill) to the Forum area where there are restaurants, a small supermarket, the main Gondola and ski school meeting place are situated. The chalet itself is stunning. It has a real fire, x box with projector, table football and lots of space downstairs. The only small issue for our size group was the clothes storage. If a couple of chests of drawers could be added in the mezzanine area it would help for any large group who might be at maximum capacity. The owners were lovely, responsive and even allowed a slightly earlier check in. Thank you for a fantastic holiday! We hope to return one day soon.

All is superb. Only the sleeping accommodations are a bit small. And some areas not for the tall. For the rest one word: amazing

The room was absolutely stunning, with views from every room with a window! 3 of the 4 bedrooms had windows, with breathtaking views! My son claims his room of the bay, city, and ocean was the best, which made me happy, as I believed my room and my husband's, (master bedroom), with the sound of the ocean, and the perfect view of edge to edge ocean, was the best. Lol! The building housed condo's, so very quiet. At first the lazy river wasn't open. But, near the end of the trip, it opened, thankfully, as that was our prime reason for chosing this property. Yay! We had guests who were chef's. And, we had plenty of appliances and kitchen utensils for their use. They were extremely happy with the views, kitchen, and lazy river (their first experience), and overall experience. Would recommend, and love to visit again!

Good Location easy to get to the slopes. Spacious property with well equipped kitchen. Great place for kids. Would also recommend it in the summer

Amazing place to stay - wonderful hosts, beautiful and well eqipped chalet in a great location. After some initial confusion on check in (mostly language barrier all sorted), they couldn't have been more helpful. Taking orders for breakfast pastry, providing logs for the fire, checking on the hot tub - all sorted. At the same time, completely non-intrusive. Highly recommended!

We stayed with 3 families (15 persons + baby) for one wonderful ski-week. The Ski Ressort is just 800m to walk and Flaine/grand massif is a gorgeous area with wonderful pistes and endless off piste areas… The chalet is perfect fior enjoying live with cooking, great living room, fireplace and kids play area…. Only some sleeping rooms are much smaller than expected, but it works. We enjoyed the stay 100% and plan to come again soon.

Very nice chalet with really nice kitchen, living room and bedrooms

Everything was amazing! The owners are really nice and they provided us everything we needed. When we arrived, they have bought for us two bottles of an amazing local sparkling wine and a local salami. They live close and they are very attentive to your request. The property is breathtaking. It was an amazing and unforgettable weekend, we’ll return for sure! Thank you!
