Le Château de Monciaux - Villa with Private Pool

A very spacious property with comfortable beds, a good pool and lots of activities to do with both adults and kids.We did encounter a few power cuts which, once we were told were the mains switch was, was easily rectified. In addition there were a couple of minor plumbing issues which were fixed within a matter of hours.During heavy rain however there was a leak from the roof into one of the bathrooms. It appears that the lead flashing between the gutter and the roof has slipped which is allowing the ingress of rain water. It’s possible this has been an ongoing issue which may have been the cause of a section of the stone roof facia/soffit breaking away. Being located over the main rear entrance it was fortunate no one was injured.Overall I would recommend this property but suggest the issues highlighted be addressed. Please be aware the house is in a very rural location but that was the type of place we were looking for.

Très bel endroit, parfait pour 8 adultes et 8 jeunes ados. Deco sobre et élégante ; bonne literie. Château très bien équipé. Très calme, belle piscine, Cours de tennis un peu old age mais agréable. Il manque juste un petit guide pratique des choses à faire dans le coin, des horaires de marché et bons restaurants.A part ce détail, séjour parfait

Lovely property in large open grounds, with lots of things for the kids, great pool, badminton, football nets, boule, climbing frame.Nice seating areas on the large patio with lots of space, facing the sun in the afternoon and evening.Bedrooms nice and spacious. Kitchen is a good size and well equipped.We had a super holiday.

Great chateau for larger groups and very convenient for Bergerac airport

The chateau is beautifully restored and all the rooms are stunning. The setting is idyllic and you really are in the middle of know where.
