Le Clos de la Bodice holiday cottage for 12-15 people, 7 bedrooms, with Jacuzzi

A charming cottage/cabin in a beautiful countryside, fitted very well for a family

We had a great family reunion of 3 generations - 9 adults, 3 teenagers and a dog! First impressions was the place is huge, (and the air con was a great benefit.) We picked this house because of the outdoor dining and cooking facilities- the round table was a big plus for family dinners - we made pizzas! The kids enjoyed the pool, jacuzzi, table tennis, croquet and we all enjoyed the bikes! Sophie is an amazing hostess and greeted us on arrival, explaining everything. She was there immediately if we needed help or advice. The bed linen is divine, high quality white pure cotton sateen finish. I was worried because there are no restaurants in walking distance but we shopped and all took turns to make meals - probably saved a fortune by cooking ‘at home’ and definitely saved a fortune by buying our own alcohol ! There are two large fridges plus wine fridge, and a freezer with ice maker. Every kitchen device you could think of is provided. We all had a fabulous time and I recommend this place for big families/friends’ get together.

This was an excellent property for a party of 12 adults ranging from 25-86 and two dogs. Exceptionally well appointed, the outside eating and cooking areas especially. Great fun making pizzas and memories!

The house was absolutely fantastic. So comfortable in every way. Very well equipped and clean. So much thought has gone into what is needed. We had towels and robes provided for the pool and hot tub. Two families shared the property and it worked perfectly The outside areas were outstanding. The pool was perfect and the hot tub too. Philippe was great and answered any questions we had. We had a fantastic time and thoroughly recommend this property. You will not be disappointed!

Well appointed. Phillipe was so eager to please a broken coffee machine although one of three was replaced within one hour.

The pictures haven't been updated -- so be assured the rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated. The house is large, and airy -- its also well laid out, so as two families we were comfortable and relaxed The Pool is a nice size and Garden spacious and safe The kitchen is well equipped and able to cater for 10 and more

We stayed as a whole family, 2 grandparents, 6 parents/aunts/uncles and 4 small children. This is a wonderful large rustic property in a beautiful area of the Loire valley, close to Blois and many famous chateaus. For our family of 12 the 7 bedrooms, large dining/living room and large BBQ and shaded outdoor dining area were superb. The pool, table tennis and many different outdoor seating areas were perfect. Our 3 and 4 year olds started swimming by themselves (with arm bands) for the first time! We used the many bikes - this property is actually on the "Chateaux a Velo" route! A lovely holiday, we would go again.

We just spent a fabulous week at Clos de la Bodice. It easily accommodated 16 of us (10 adults, 6 children aged 8 - 15) without it feeling cramped. We were all able to eat together - either round the covered table outside or the round table inside. The facilities are excellent. The pool was heated and both a magnet for the kids and great for playing games. The jacuzzi was bigger than most I've seen (even in the spa hotels) and ideal to either soak listening to music or watch films. The sporting facilities were also excellent - table tennis was particularly popular (and ideal for a big game of round the table - as we'd brought extra bats). There were also plenty of loungers for sunbathing. In fact, it was so pleasant to stay at the house that it was tempting not to go out and explore the sites of the Loire valley. However, there are numerous interesting places to see just a short distance away. Several of these could have been reached by bike and there were many great local bike trails and a large number of bikes to choose from (complete with helmets). Philippe was extremely welcoming and easygoing. He allowed us to bring a caravan with 4 extra people for no charge. Also, when we phoned to ask if we could exceed the max number of people in the house, he told us he was expanding the upstairs and increasing the number of beds. And true to his word, he had done this (and didn't want any extra money). He also just shrugged when we told him we'd broken a couple of glasses. Excellent place and excellent owner. Would be keen to stay there again.
