Peace and quiet in a...<br>#128578; This place is a little different, and I suppose it was its very quirkyness that first attracted us. It's a former cowshed, expertly converted by owner Stephane. He did an excellent job too, everything was done to a high standard, with impressive electronics and a heated swimming pool that we didn't have a chance to use. We saw no evidence of any other inhabitants on the site but Stephane, who had been away on business, called for a friendly chat just as we were getting ready to leave.<br>#128577; Not really dislikes, but the place is difficult to find, and rather isolated. Stephane recommended two fairly local eating places, but we arrived late, by which time it was too late to book. We headed for Tonnay Charente the largest nearby town, but the deadest place we've ever discovered in France, everything was closed and silent at 8pm, the only eating place we found was a single kebab outlet, not our normal fare, but we survived.
