Le Cottage près de Sainte Foy la Grande

The owners are friendly and very nice. They were on site the whole time we were there, so we shared the pool with them and the people renting their smaller apartment (although we were never actually in the pool at the same time). We didnt realise this from the advert. The house is nice, but a little old fashioned - the kitchen and bathroom could really do with a refresh as they feel very dated. That said, the kitchen came with everything we needed included dishwasher and coffee machine. But the cuboards were old, especially the ones above the sink and did not stay open on their own which made it extremely hard to get things out one handed. The chairs in the kitchen were wobbly and there were only 4 chairs (there were 5 of us). They did however provide an extra chair when we asked. We were only given 1 fan initially (for 3 bedrooms), but they did provide an extra one awhen asked after temp went to 40deg. There was some damp issues in the toilet and bathroom, and the roof leaked significantly when there was a heavy rainstorm (huge puddle on the floor in the morning). Obviously its a period house, and some of the furniture is charming, but overall it feels like the house needs a bit of a refresh. However, overall its a great location 5 minutes into town. There are lovely walks nearby and the big draw is the pool. The beds are comfy and the living room is cosy. The hosts are friendly and helpful and its easy to park right next to the house.

A lovely spacious cottage, it really felt like home from home. John was friendly and approachable whenever we had a question. We loved exploring the land, village and walks around the cottage. The cottage was equipped with everything we could need including a utility room and dishwasher. Being able to walk out of the door and straight into vineyards full of grapes was great. Our children loved the pool and were in and out of it all day. We hope to be back again in the future.

Après nous être fait accueillir par les adorables propriétaires. Nous avons pu profiter de cette maison de pleins pieds, bien équipée. La grande terrasse , la piscine toute neuve et l'environnement sont très appréciable. Les lits de qualités tout préparés avec des draps frais et une attention particulières pour le lit bébé, nous on beaucoup touché. Le meilleur gite rapport qualité prix que j'ai louer. Même si des améliorations sont encore à faire (bord de piscine , entretien des espaces, toilettes) l'endroit est calme , bien situé et propre. Bon accueil des propriétaires , serviables et courtois

très bon séjour dans un cadre verdoyant, la maison est fonctionnelle et très agréable. John le propriétaire est très sympathique et arrangeant. Le top, la grande piscine entourée de verdure. nous avons vraiment apprécié notre semaine qui a passé trop vite. Je reviendrai pour un séjour plus long c'est sûr.

Au calme, une super vue sur la campagne, pas loin des commerces, et des lieux de visites. Un plaisir de plonger dans la piscine après une journée de balade. A recommander

We arrived late at night and the owners were still waiting to welcome us. The house was clean and had everything needed plus they were good enough to have some light provisions for us to have in the morning due to our late arrival. They were very friendly and made us feel welcome. If someone is looking for a relaxed holiday l would highly recommend. The cottage was charming and full of character.
