Le gite de Cristal proche Bugarach

😊: Brigitte and Jean- Pierre were very welcoming and the property was clean. It was very quiet and peaceful.. 😢: The gîte bore very little resemblance to the description. It was said to have a private pool but the pool was situated directly in front of the main house but we were allowed to share it. There was a problem with the filter so the cover was kept on. It didn’t matter as the pool was so small that it wasn’t worth going in anyway. We did not have a seating area that was not in view of the main house which was just feet away. No privacy at all. We agree completely with the review of the previous visitors who said that they found the kitchen cupboards filled with random useless utensils and implements leaving little room to store food. Storage for clothing was limited too as the wardrobe was filled with spare bedding. The gîte accommodates up to 3 people. They would struggle to find room to store their clothes. The name of the house includes ‘procure Bugerach’ but again this is misleading as Bugerach is 20 kms away. The photos in the description are taken in the vicinity of Bugerach. Mosquitos were a problem exacerbated by a pond in the garden where they could breed. The garden itself is steeply sloping and neglected. There was nowhere to set up the garden chairs we had brought with us because of the slope and no shade. The garden furniture provided by the property was metal or concrete which are not comfortable, become very hot in the sun and were placed very near to the washing line which was in daily use..
