😊: Good view from the balcony and not far from the beach.. 😢: Even before the stay, specific questions (e.g., about free parking) went unanswered. However, bank details for the deposit were sent immediately. Bed linen and towels were available for a fee, though we had informed them beforehand we'd bring our own. Still, the beds were made, so we had to strip them. This happened despite us translating everything into French, since the landlady didn’t speak English. Communication was complicated; almost nothing was done via Booking.com chat, as the landlady preferred SMS. The day after arrival, we were told to pay a deposit at an agency downtown. We texted to ask about their opening hours (the next day was a French holiday) and about an earlier check-out, which had been set for 10:30 a.m. with the landlady inspecting the apartment. Both questions were ignored. On the holiday, we went to the agency hoping it was open. The landlady wasn’t there. Staff were friendly but didn’t know the deposit amount; we had to find it ourselves. We also asked about early key return and were shown a mailbox outside. On departure day, my wife and I dropped the key there and left. At 10:25 a.m., the landlady called asking to be let in to inspect the apartment and collect the key. Due to language barriers, we switched to SMS and again explained the key was already dropped off. She called again, refusing to accept this, claiming the key hadn’t arrived and saying she’d withhold part of the deposit. After countless messages, emails, and calls (she even claimed we returned the key to a different agency), the issue lasted a week. Eventually, they admitted the key had arrived. The agency apologized, but the landlady never responded. From start to finish, it was very unprofessional and a total failure. We couldn’t enjoy our vacation and felt tourists were being ripped off (e.g., locksmith fees taken from the deposit). Only our persistence in finding the key prevented this..
