We had a wonderful, restful stay at Le Grenier surrounded by vineyards and sunflowers. Jenny and Jacques were so caring and attentive with nothing being too much trouble. The hot tub and sauna were a big hit…as well as the lovely animals! A real treat of a week! Thank you so much Jenny and Jacques!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Le Grenier and were made to feel very welcome by Jenny and Jacques, who even arranged a wine tasting experience for us. There was plenty to keep our two children entertained at the house and we loved the garden and spa area. The location was perfect; peaceful, yet only ten minutes from lots of local attractions. The children loved the mix of animals and we would definitely like to return in the near future.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this very well equipped, lovely gite. Even though one of our children was unwell for a couple of days it was no hardship to be “stuck” in the gite with her as it was so comfortable and relaxing - we also really enjoyed watching all the peacocks, pigs, ponies and chickens out the windows! There were lots of great places to visit nearby. The zoo was an absolute highlight! Some of us also put the bikes that were available to good use and enjoyed cycling around the quiet country roads, and our children also enjoyed playing with the games equipment in the garden. Jenny and her husband were very welcoming and made sure we had all we needed.

We enjoyed 7 fantastic days here as a family with young children. The gite itself is set on large grounds and there are lots of games and activities to enjoy in the gardens. The hosts are friendly and our children loved meeting the dogs (unusual for them!), peacocks, pigs etc. We had enough to do and see with the cave dwellings nearby, the inspiring light exhibition in caves, the cave restaurant, pretty villages etc. We could have spent longer there too if willing to travel further afield but while we were there there was enough to do in a 15-minute-by-car radius. If we could change anything it would be for both bedrooms to be on the same floor as younger children tend to want/ need to be closer to parents at night in an unfamiliar place. We got around that though and had a fabulous time making many happy memories.

Nous avons passé un excellent week-end entre copines dans le logement de Jenny. Le logement est très agréable et bien équipé. L'accès au jaccuzzi est top !

Perfect Gite with all mod cons and a peaceful location, but within easy reach of all of the Loire attractions - oh if you have children this is also for you, table tennis, darts, bikes and boule all await there enjoyment - we’ve stayed in many Gites over the years and Le Grenier is certainly one of the very best

It must be pretty good to have us return to this Gite year after year! Set in very spacious grounds with a large walled area at the front, the back looking out over more garden an extensive field for the two donkeys. The Gite is light, airy, comfortable, large and well equipped. Andrew Jackie are friendly, welcoming hosts, Andrew has been known to crack the occasional well travelled groan worthy joke! A splendid place to stay and we will be back next year!

We had a fantastic holiday staying at Le Grenier. Jackie and Andrew were very hospitable - on hand to welcome us and offer any advice when needed, and left us to our own devices to enjoy our family holiday. We thoroughly enjoyed cycling amongst the local vineyards (with one or two tasting stops), and visiting nearby villages. We were lucky enough to stumble upon the annual Retro Grand Prix at Le Puy Notre Dame which is a fun day out if you happen to be there that weekend. The grounds are lovely, with a huge garden with two donkeys in their own area at the foot. We made some use of the badminton, table tennis, table football, dart board and even the basketball hoop. Not to mention the outside chairs and loungers, gas bbq - and of course our toddler loved playing in the little kids house, sand pit and swings in the garden. If he wasn't busy with these, or feeding the donkeys, he would either be playing hide and seek or watching tractors from nearby farms drive past. Overall, we had a very special holiday at Le Grenier and would be very happy to repeat the experience in future. I certainly do hope we have another opportunity to stay at this well equipped gite. We were also very grateful to receive a parcel in the mail a week or two after arriving home with a few of our son's toys that we had failed to pack. Unexpected, but hugely appreciated by all of us and especially the youngest member of the family.
