Le Grillon de Pongo Elegant T2 avec balcons - Two-Bedroom Apartment with Balcony

😊: It’s a nice apartment and we were allowed early check-in during the heatwave. Washing machine and dishwasher were handy. Good air conditioning and balconies.. 😢: Lack of bike storage. Stingy supply of toilet paper (we bought some because nervous of running out) and minimal supply of coffee pods for machine. Didn’t like check in procedures - unnecessarily complicated with 8 videos to watch that didn’t run well on my iPhone. Management somewhat unresponsive - I asked about bike storage when I booked and got no reply. I booked 50 accommodations this trip and this is the only one that doesn’t accommodate bicycles ( and this is velo central)!.

😊: The apartment location is perfect. 6-7 minutes walking from the centre, but away from the traffic. Very quiet at night. It’s light, bright, sunny, the balconies are all around the apartment, comfortable, good bed, nice furnishings, good decoration, it felt like we were in the showroom of “Maisons de Monde” ( and we love that store!). 😢: I did not like the location next to the EDF hydro power station. ( but that a very personal concern about EMF).

😊: Nicely designed, very recently renovated, well-equipped kitchen. The size was fine for 2 but the bunk bed space for kids is minute. 5 minute walk to the shops & restaurants.. 😢: Scruffy communal entrance hall to the building with badly torn stair carpet - needs replacing. Lack of sound insulation - you can hear people walk around the flat upstairs. Mattress/topper and pillows a bit too soft for our liking but I appreciate that's a personal preference..
