Le Loft Moderne et Chaleureux avec Vue Verdoyante

😊: The accommodation seemed clean, spacious and comfortable for the short time we were there.. 😢: The host/manager showed us to the accommodation and we settled in. A few hours later, he returned and kicked the door in an attempt to get in. (We had locked it.) When my husband let him in, he started screaming at us in French. Alarmed, my husband tried to calm him down, but we don't speak French. I came into the room and the host marched over to me aggressively, still shouting. Concerned for my safety, my husband tried to make him leave and a tussle ensued. After forcing the host out, the man managed to get back in, strode over to me and pushed my shoulder while continuing to yell at me. I am a small woman. Again, my husband tried to protect me. Two more men appeared, both of whom spoke some English. They explained that one of them had booked our accommodation for that night. I assured them I had booked it too. It seemed that the host thought we were trying to scam him. In the end, it turned out he had received our booking but had put us in the wrong accommodation. He hadn't checked anything when we arrived. Naturally, all of this could have been sorted out with a calm conversation. We left at about 10 pm and had to find somewhere else to stay. We were seriously concerned for our safety and did not want to spend any longer in the vicinity of the unstable host..

😊: This is quite an incredible place and feels much like hanging out in a wonderfully spacious tree house. It's well equipped and comfortable and offers a lot of space in which to unwind and relax. The bedroom is quite zen-like and would be the ideal room for morning yoga. The host Jean Pierre is wonderfully welcoming, warm and friendly and surely has many tales to tell of his admirable efforts to build this place solely out of wood. And if you're a cat lover, you might just come across Peu Peu (I think that's how it might be spelled), super friendly and laid back.... which gives you another clue on what to expect at this quite special place settled in calm surroundings.
