We've just returned from a lovely stay at one Mark and Lisa's gites. They were very welcoming hosts and the whole family had a great break. The Gites themselves are equipped to a very high standard, all home comforts are present - and there is a real eye for detail in the decoration. There are 4 Gites on site, but at no time did we feel that we were sharing space with other families. The grounds are large and enclosed, perfect for our children - especially the quality heated pool, football pitch and table tennis table. It's a semi-rural location, we needed to drive to visit restaurants and bars, but there are plenty of places within 15 mins or so. The Loire Valley around the Gite is a wonderful place - historic towns, and many chateau. I thoroughly recommend a stay here if you are looking for a gite in the area.

We have just returned, this Easter, relaxed and refreshed from our second visit to Le Logis du Pressoir, and have already recommended the gites to several of our friends. Can't wait to go back and try out some of the other properties - especially the wonderfully romantic Pressoir gite with its commanding position and private deck, looking out over the Loire valley. Our gite on this visit, Les Lauriers, was even better than the photos. The overall feel was simple, chic, French rustic style but with no compromise on comfort or functionality -everything was well maintained and spotlessly clean. The beautiful bed linen, comfy beds and peaceful setting ensured we all slept like babies. We had a fabulous, huge and well-equipped kitchen - perfect for long, leisurely dinners, (washed down with some fine Cremant de Loire from the Gratien and Meyer cave just a short drive away along the banks of the Loire.) Lisa and Mark really have thought of everything - even a selection of cookery books for inspiration + generous supplies of olive oil and all those other condiments, basic supplies that are usually only found in miserly proportions in other holiday rentals we have stayed in. In fact a new, large supermarket just a short (5 minute drive) away also meant that food shopping was a doddle - giving more time to explore the local area. The same attention to detail and thoughtfulness was extended to the garden and indoor games and books supplied. Our teenage boys loved the table tennis and badminton on the lawn. It was too cold at Easter for the pool but on our last visit this proved to be a good place to make some new friends and cool off after a day's sightseeing. In short, beautiful gites, and a warm welcome from Lisa, Mark who went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
