Le Lys - Calme à 5 min tram, proche centre Stras

😊: After sending a message to them during the day, they said someone would be on location to welcome us. There was noone on the spot and I had to call at least 10 times (for international price) the service in order to send me the instructions. At the end it was the neighbors who showed us where to find the box with the key. Very poorly organised. I was about to leave and find another place even if it was late. We struggled to get in for more than half an hour with two very tired kids. On top, the street of the apartment feels very insecure. Horrible views from the vindows. A very poor neighborhood. Overpriced compared to other listings. And extremely run down with mold on the wall - see photos. I would NEVER recommend!.

😢: Unfortunately not to my expectations.Living room and kitchen ok.Bathroom not pleasant.. Most annoying was that there was no heating in none of the rooms despite cold weather..

😊: The property was clean and comfortable.. 😢: 1. I asked many times about the TV problem, but I have not provided any support. This was a big issue for me. Because after the returning the trip, as a family we like to come together and watch movies and series..

😊: It was clean.. 😢: The sofa bed had no sheets, nor a pillow. There were only two towels for three people and one roll of toilet paper. It's a tell that there was only one roll of toilet paper - the owners spend only the very least they can. Not even an extra roll of toilet paper. Mercifully, it was enough, but that still doesn't excuse it. Oh, and send the instructions to the lockbox when required, not when I remind you..

😊: Location is very good. Walking distance (5m) to a tram stop, maybe 10 to 15m to the start of the historic centre. Appartment itself is fine, finishing touches are a bit rough but mostly aesthetic issues.. 😢: Arrival was a mess. We hadn't received the pdf showing the location of the lockbox, so we couldn't find it. When calling we didn't get an answer. Took about 45mins before they called back. Was helped well from that point on. I did try to enter the wrong appartment accidentaly. It's on the first floor, but the 'ground floor' is slightly elevated. Misunderstanding on my side, but hoping to help future travellers avoid it. Another disappointment was parking. In their overview there's mention of free parking (one of the reasons I chose this location). On the street there were signs for 'payant', so I assumed it was on the small courtyard behind the building. It wasn't, that's for residents. I was asked to move my car to the street, but had some back and forth about the fact that it's paying (9 - 19h, limited to 5h for €35!). This had apparently changed recently (2 weeks before our visit). They referred me to another location, but that also turned out to be paying. I ended up taking the car to go the centre anyway to park at a mall, to avoid the enormous cost. We had already paid for 3 day unlimited tram access, so that was also wasted. I suggested they remove the "free parking" from their overview, which they confirmed they would do. We are now a week later and it's still up (26/06/24), so that creates the image to me they want to mislead other customers..
