😢: We could not stay there, having had to book another place at the last minute, losing all our money spent in advance. The hosts insisted we pay a Eu600 safety deposit by a third-party external link - against Booking.com policy. The agreement on the link appears to allow the third party to use your bank details for anything it wants. When I had tried to pay, nonetheless, just to get the entry code for the apartment, my bank blocked the payment and contacted me to tell me that the third party had already set up a repeat payment schedule, essentially scamming my account. My bank then cancelled my credit card to stop the third party scamming me. When I tried on many occasions to contact Alexandra and Antoine offering to pay through another mechanism, and not risk my one remaining card, they refused to help, just sending me the same link, refusing to call back in person. Even Booking.com support staff tried to help but could not change anything. In my many years with Booking.com this was by far the worst experience I have had with a propoerty. I lost a lot of money and a lot of time trying to get it fixed up and the 'hosts' never bothered to help. I consider this behaviour to be unscrupulous and lazy, and setting up customers to be defrauded. Avoid at all costs!.
