Le Moulin du Saon

😊: If you like the peace and quiet of the countryside, this is the perfect place. The mill house has been beautifully restored, Denis, the owner, happened to be there the day we arrived. He explained what he'd done so far and what he's planning for the adjacent mill and barn which was fascinating. It was very hot when we stayed, the air con throughout the house made it very comfortable indoors. Plenty of room for 8 people, we thought maybe only one shower room might be a problem, but we coped well. A reasonable amount of garden for children to play and plenty of parking space. Easy to visit Bayeux and anything to do with WW2 and D-Day.. 😢: Only one thing really, the microwave oven was only useful as a microwave, didn't work as a normal oven. Easy to heat things up though on the excellent hob or cook on the bbq..

😊: superb location in a countryside environment. Strategically placed to visit the D-day landing locations, and close to nice towns like Bayeux..
