😊: Not much, the host cancelled the booking on us 5 days before arrival. Please see detailed review below.. 😢: Avoid. The chalet owner cancelled our booking (for 3 families with young children) on 9 Feb 2026, 5 days before our arrival, citing an issue with the heating. This only came to light by chance as we contacted the chalet owner that day to check what time we could arrive at the chalet on 14 Feb and where to collect the keys. The chalet owner did not have the decency, or courtesy, to inform us beforehand about the heating issue. During our conversation on 9 February he told us that he became aware the previous week there was an issue with the heating. Had we not made the call that day, we may have not found out about the cancellation until we had reached the resort. We had to scramble about to make alternative accommodation arrangements, which proved to be very difficult as it was over the schools holiday week. We incurred significant more costs, having to find something so close to the arrival date, the families had to be split up as we could not find anything to accommodate all three families and not to mention the distress this caused us and particularly the children as at one point it looked like we may have to cancel the trip. We all luckily found some other accommodation, be it separately. We happened to pass by the chalet whilst we were in the resort and saw the place had lights on and appeared to be occupied with guests, the very same week we had booked for, and there were also a couple of cars outside. If the owner did cancel on us on false basis, e.g. double booked or took a more profitable booking, then this is utterly shocking behaviour. The chalet owner has not responded to our request for evidence in regards to the heating issue, so that we could follow up with our travel insurance company. We have tried messaging him and calling him several times but he does not respond. Hence this scathing review as we would not wish this to happen to any other guests..
