Le petit gîte de la Varenne

😊: Our sincerest thanks to Dominique, the owner, for assembling an oasis of calm, an impeccably clean and thoroughly well furnished accommodation that lacked for nothing for a couple. Returning to the west facing, sunny, private terrace was always a welcoming bliss. The little stream of fish at the foot of the terrace beckoned us to return early from a day of touring to enjoy the tranquility of the location. Chapeau Dominique pour ce paradis!.

Entspannte Zeit in gemütlichem Häuschen<br>#128578; Das Highlight der Unterkunft ist die überdachte Terrasse, auf der man selbst bei einbrechenden Regenschauern wunderbar geborgen sitzen und essen kann. Insgesamt war die Unterkunft gemütlich, mit bequemen Betten und einem schönen, sauberen Bad. Wir sind zuverlässig und sehr freundlich begrüßt worden und haben tolle kulinarische Begüßungsgaben bekommen. Vielen Dank!<br>#128577; St. Hellier ist ein kleines Dorf, in dem es nichts Nennenswertes zu entdecken gib. Es ist auch nicht gut möglich, einfach mal an den schönen Fluß spazieren zu gehen, weil uns alles eingezäunt schien. DIe Spontaneität ist so etwas eingeschränkt, für Unternehmungen benötigt man in der Regel ein Auto, jedenfalls wenn man nicht zu den passionierten Wanderern gehört oder Fahrräder mitgebracht hat. Das macht aber die vielen Vorteile und den wirklich fairen Preis nicht weniger bemerkenswert.

Un séjour très agréable dans...<br>#128578; Les hôtes étaient très gentils et sympathiques, le logement était très joli et bien au calme, avec tout le matériel nécessaire à l'intérieur et facilement accessible, tout était propre et confortable.<br>#128577; L'accès était un tout petit peu compliqué (préférable de se garer en rentrant en marche arrière) mais le coup de main se prenait assez facilement, et il n'y a rien de particulier à faire c'était inévitable vu la configuration du lieu!

Superb Normandy house in a...<br>#128578; Having stayed a week on the way out we chose to stay again in this beautiful Normandy house on our return journey after a month in France. It meant that once more we enjoyed the superb rural location in the Pay de Bray with its wooded scarp slopes and farmed valleys, meals in nearby St Saens and Neufchatel-en-Bray and the wonderful sunny terrace overlooking the Varenne valley.<br>#128577; Nothing - we hope to return next year.

Excellent cottage in a perfect...<br>#128578; The location is perfect in a quiet back road in the hamlet of St Hellier overlooking the Varenne valley in the beautiful Pays-de-Bray clay vale district. The facilities are new and top grade and the private parking and garden are safe havens - this is a perfect Normandy cottage for two adults.<br>#128577; Nothing. This cottage met our remit in terms of facilities and location and in terms of view of the countryside from its rear terrace was outstanding.
