😢: The Booking.com summary advised that the property had air conditioning (a/c), however, the property did not. In fact it only had a very small electric fan, which had to be placed on a bed-side table or chair, which was TOTALLY INADEQUATE for the French summer, particularly during the mid 30 degree C temperatures which were experienced during our stay. If the property cannot provide a mobile a/c unit, or a ceiling fan, then a pedestal electric fan is a MUST for this property, as a MINIMUM!!!.

😊: Location: 10/10. You’d be hard-pressed to find an apartment in a better location.. 😢: The apartment is on the first floor, but reaching it requires climbing about 20 steps. All windows face the interior patio, so the curtains need to remain closed at all times; otherwise, anyone walking through the stairwell can see directly into the apartment. For the same reason, it is practically impossible to open the windows and air out the apartment. Trash bins are located in the patio below, and as soon as you enter, you notice a sour, unpleasant smell. The odor is everywhere—not only in the air but even absorbed into the bed linens and mattress. There is no air conditioning, despite the listing stating that the apartment has AC. Instead, there is only a small, old fan that was completely ineffective. This is not a separate apartment but a converted unit. The wall shared with the neighboring apartment is made of drywall, resulting in very poor sound insulation. The neighbors have two dogs, and noise carries easily between the units. Cooking is nearly impossible because the kitchen lacks basic cookware and utensils. There is also no proper dining area, only a small bar table. The refrigerator is very small and clearly has not been defrosted in a long time—it was covered in ice. We rented the apartment for three nights, and the host provided only two coffee capsules for the entire stay. There was also only one set of towels per guest. The shower has no door, so water spills all over the bathroom floor. There was no mop or squeegee available to clean it up, leaving the floor wet and extremely slippery. The apartment is very dark, and several light bulbs were not working..

😊: Nothing. 😢: The apartment wasn't cleaned after the previous guests. The owner didn't respond neither via chat nor via phone. We had to sit and wait in the room not knowing what to do. After 1 hour we gave up waiting, booked another property and requested the refund. The owner responded only when we were already gone. They refused to refund and said that someone will come to clean the apartment. Only after 7pm they messaged us and said that the apartment is ready, apparently they thought that we would be waiting on the street with all the luggage till 7pm..

😊: Location, in Lyon downtown, close to restaurants and shops. 😢: Poor cleaning.
