😊: A lovely stay at this property. A nice owner Veronica who was helpful. The owner has invested in this period building and it has nice windows and doors. The property is located in a rural setting.. 😢: Guests are asked to provide 500 euros in cash as a deposit. If you are like us, from the UK where it is not the national currency this means changing up a lot of money which you cannot spend during your stay. This is more than we have been asked before as a deposit but just good to know you need this amount. This means also that you need to see the owner before you leave the property to get your deposit back after she makes a personal inspection of the property. Make sure you factor this in should you be catching a ferry. Make sure you are aware where the property is located as it can be tricky to find so you need a working phone with sat nav. At the time of our stay, last month, there was no indication of the number on the actual house so you are not 100% certain you have the right place but we compared the online picture which is similar. The owner had gates fitted at the end of our stay so it may now be labelled? Be also aware that there is a cleaning fee added to the price of £121 [ I believe this does not cover the kitchen so guests have to ensure that is clean] and there is a city tax of £34 which the owner has not control over..

😊: The accommodation has been recently renovated to a high standard. The building itself is beautiful. We stayed as a family with a toddler and a baby for a week. There were some toys for our toddler, which she loved and a good cot and a high chair. The main bed was very comfortable. It is very tastefully decorated with a mixture of vintage and modern furniture. There are 3 bathrooms, one is an ensuite and one is downstairs, all 3 are finished to a high standard and I loved the main bathroom. The kitchen contained all we needed for our stay, as we cooked all of our dinners here, and the pots and pans are all good quality. The house was immaculately clean for our arrival. There is a bench out in the back garden which we enjoyed dinner at when the weather allowed. Plenty of parking outside on the gravel drive. The area is very rural, which I think is obvious in the listing, and we enjoyed walking around and eating blackberries in abundance during our stay! Honfleur is only about 25 minutes away. We also visited Etretat, Caen, Deuaville and some of the D Day beaches from here. There is a nearby farm shop that specialises in produce from their dairy cows, which is excellent and well worth a visit. The nearest bakery is in Saint Maclou with good croissants and bread, a couple of minutes away in the car.. 😢: The downstairs of the property is very large and would benefit from a few additional furnishings such as an additional table or island in the kitchen, a lamp and some games in the living room and some coat hooks by the door..
