😊: Arriving at this apartment in the beautiful seaside resort of Les Sables d'Olone after a long drive was a delight. The fifth floor apartment (there's a lift) with a balcony looking directly over the beach was spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and with a modern, well equipped kitchen area, with plenty of space for food preparation. The bed is a very comfortable sofa bed which is extremely easy to open out (and close back up again) and clean linen, pillows and quilt are all provided. A beautifully appointed bathroom with a great shower (and washing machine) completed the ensemble, The keys are in a keysafe on the front door, and access to the building is via a coded gate, making it very secure. The concierge service was very helpful and professional, and sent clear instructions on how to get in, and were on hand if we needed anything. The apartment is literally as close to the beach as you can get, with a nice balcony (we ate out on the balcony on both evenings), and at night we fell asleep to the sound of the waves breaking on the beach (there's an electric blind which can be left partly open), the whole experience was blissful. The balcony faces southwest, so you get to see the sun setting over the sea and the beach, it's really special. Parking in the town is safe and fairly easy to find and inexpensive, there are also underground car parks. You can park your car for a cheeky ten minutes in front of the apartment building to load and unload. There are plenty of bars, restaurants and boulangeries in Les Sables, and there's a great Intermarché about ten minutes drive away. The town is a delightful place to spend a few days relaxing; the beach is truly wonderful (a long, broad sweep of golden sand) and there is plenty to see, and do in this lovely, traditional French seaside resort - or you could just relax and do very little. I recommend both Le Refuge des Sables, and Les Sables d'Olone, very highly.. 😢: My only regret was that I would have loved to have stayed for longer, and next time I come, I will! It was faultless..
