Le Refuge du Castillet

😊: Room looked nice. 😢: This is the first time i am writing a comment about a stay. Due to what happened i feel obligated to let other people know before they consider to stay at this place. Entrance, hallway and stairs in the building are pretty narrow and run down (parts of the walls were falling off and were lying on the floor). With big luggage it could be hard to climb all the flights of stairs. Instructions to access the appartment were related to a number lock at the door but that didnt work. I contacted the owner who then told me that the number lock at the door was broken and he therefor place a key box nearby. Finally having the key the door was really hard to open. After entering we noticed that the room hadn't been cleaned. We contacted the owner again and he told us the cleaning lady didn't know she had to clean that day. We agreed that he would cancle our stay and refunding us. After a few days i contacted him to see when we would receive our money back. He told me he needed more time to check with booking.com service. I rechecked with him several times and was always stalled. He never contacted me to give me an update pro-acitvely. At the end he didn't even reply anymore. This is was now about a month ago. So we had to pay for the accomodation even we couldnt stay there due to the appartment hadn't been cleaded..

😊: The accommodation was everything we needed, very chill and clean! Slept very well :). 😢: The door was a little bit hard to open :).

😊: Location is really good!. 😢: Apartment has a weird smell, and there wasn’t any hand soap..
