Le Roc de Montcheuil

Wow. Just wow! Beautiful spacious property set in the grounds of the owners property but you wouldn't know as you feel totally private overlooking a private fishing lake and with walks from the property into amazing woodland walks. Our dog loved this especially as we had high temperatures in the 30s. The heated pool was just wonderful, there is satellite TV but sadly no WiFi and limited phone reception which could be difficult for some but wasn't an issue for us. The Owner spoke no English and we spoke limited French so communication was slightly difficult but we all got by and we only saw them on arrival and leaving. There is also a games room with a table tennis table and other games for younger ones. The house was immaculate and exceptionally clean. The property is 10 minutes drive from Nonton and a range fo supermarkets. 20 minutes from beautiful Brantome which is stunning. There are 2 markets a week there plus boat trips and canoe hire. We loved our stay here and the pictures so not do the setting justice as it's gorgeous, peaceful and was a perfect setting for rest and relaxation. Highly recommended and we wouldn't hesitate to book again. Thank you so much.

Parfait pour un séjour en pleine nature, alternant visites et activités piscine. La maison est spacieuse et bien équipée. Les propriétaires sont gentils, serviables, présents sans être envahissants.

Nous avons passé 2 superbes semaines dans ce lieu reposant et magnifique. L'étang est parfait pour les adeptes de la pêche. La piscine est très appréciable après une petite escapade pour découvrir la région. Et la maison est très confortable. Endroit idéal pour se ressourcer et s'éloigner de l'agitation de la ville. Un grand merci aux propriétaires pour leur accueil, leur gentillesse et leurs conseils pour la pêche. Nous reviendrons avec un grand plaisir.

We stayed at this property for a fortnight last summer and returned for a week this year. The property is spacious and in a beautiful setting with the lake in front of the house providing a lovely view. Last year we used the house as a base from which to visit many tourist attractions including Chateau de Bourdeilles, Grotte de Tourtoirac, Chateau de Puyguilhem, La Roque Saint-Christophe,, Les Jardins Tranquilles and Brantome. All were worth visiting but the highlights were the Lascaux IV caves (opened December 2016) and Les Jardins de L'Imaginaire at Terrasson. This year we had more of a relaxed holiday taking advantage of the lovely pool during the heatwave. The main reason for booking this property was so that Alan could fish not far from from the rest of us. The lake provided good fishing both years. Christine and Daniel are excellent hosts.

Wir haben uns zwei Wochen einfach nur wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist eingebettet in eine ruhige Landschaft an einem See und wer einfach entspannen möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Das Haus war gemütlich eingerichtet, in der Küche fehlte es an nichts. Daniel und Christine waren hervorragende und über aus nette Vermieter. Dafür ein tolles Danke. Die lauschigen Abende haben wir unter einem klaren und wunderschönen Sternenhimmel verbracht, konnten die Fledermäuse über uns beim Fangen der Fliegen zuschauen und unsere Ausflüge nach Perigeux, Angouleme und Bartome waren klasse. Der Pool war gepflegt, wurde regelmäßig gesäubert und wurde jeden Tag ausgiebig genutzt. Danke für dieses tolle Feriendomizol
