😊: The location of the property was excellent, very central and convenient for getting around. The space was also warm and bright, which initially gave a positive impression.. 😢: However, our overall experience was disappointing due to serious hygiene issues. The apartment was not properly cleaned, and the bed sheets provided were clearly dirty. When we requested a replacement, the owners insisted that they were clean and our request was not accommodated, which was unacceptable. Additionally, there were no hand towels provided in the bathroom, which we consider a basic necessity. We also sent photos highlighting several dirty areas in the apartment, but received no meaningful response or acknowledgment. Furthermore, the bed located on the upper level was very uncomfortable and felt unsafe. The ladder used to access it did not feel secure, and the space itself was extremely small and low. The ceiling height in the sleeping area was so limited that we had to bend down significantly, making it very difficult even to lie down comfortably. Overall, despite the great location and the brightness of the space, the serious hygiene concerns, lack of basic amenities, and poor handling of our complaints significantly impacted our stay..

😊: There was hot water. Owner replies quickly to messages.. 😢: I don't mind that the apartment was furnished in an incredibly cheap manner. I can take a bare bathroom with no hooks on the wall.I am even prepared to live with cigarette smoke regularly seeping in from the corridor. But I have a problem with the partition wall (from the neighbouring apartment let by the same owner) being so thin that you can hear your neighbours hair grow. And I have a real problem with the following savings made by the owner: 1. Every now and then a strong smell of sewage comes in through the ventilation opening right next to the bed. Strong enough to wake me up in the morning several times and once in the middle of the night. 2. There is no light switch in the corridor at the entrance to the apartment - in the evening you leave the apartment in total darkness, fumbling around for 3-4 meters with your phone light until you grasp the light switch on the landing. AND, most importantly: 3. The bed is on a raised platform with only 148cm headroom above it. Alright, that's common in Lyon's old houses (although not at all obvious in the pictures provided). But the (very steep) steps to the platform (with very shaky handrail) are positioned right under a massive low beam, which leaves the height of only 110cm at the top. That means that I had to go on all fours every time I wanted to get in our out of the bed - it is impossible to just lower your head if you want to pass under the beam. Truth be told, the shaky handrail was fixed after my intervention (along with several other faults which are simply not worth mentioning compared to this), but the whole construction is so cheap that the handrail became shaky again by the end of my stay. This apartment is not for older or weaker persons - or anybody who goes to the toilet during the night, or indeed anybody who thinks that a 110cm headroom should be clearly and explicitly mentioned on Booking.com, preferably in the first paragraph of the description. Hey, Booking..
