Les deux Bretagne's - Les Gîtes de la Côte d'Amour

😊: Les deux Bretagne's is a great sized family house (there were 9 of us), in a superb location really just a stone's throw from the coast and coastal walk. A short walk to a sandy beach that you can play on or swim at. The house itself is very well equipped over 3 levels with the main living quarters on the middle floor. The kitchen and living / dining room are spacious with an ample dining table and chairs for our size family. All bedrooms were a good size and all comfortable and good storage. The three bathrooms are well equipped and were very clean. All linen and towels provided were of a good quality. The garden and pool area are also a great size to enjoy. Enough off street parking for 2 big family cars, and also the choice of on street parking right outside too in a very safe feeling area.. 😢: There were only a few small niggles that, whilst would not put us off returning, were not necessarily apparent from the property listing. There were only 2 loungers for the pool and a table outside with only 6 chairs which for a house of such size is not enough. We had to use our own beach chairs to be able to relax in the garden. There are other properties quite nearby and from the pool you can see direct into one neighbours garden (and vice-versa), one polite neighbour from another property welcomed us through the fence, and there was obviously another family nearby enjoying their garden each day (as we were). There was no property or area information manual / booklet given to us or that we could find in the house - gardeners and pool attendants turned up unannounced on different days and we had to google how the bins worked and the collection dates. We were fairly early in the season in the last week in May, but the pool was not up to temperature on our arrival and we were told to expect it to increase a degree or two a day over the first few days (the kids still got in straight away though!)..

😊: Beautiful spot by the coast & opposite a park. Great balcony room to watch the boats go by. Walking distance to the the shops & restaurants of Le Croisic. Lots of great day trips to surrounding towns. Guerande, la Baule, Batz sur mer. Kids loved the pool, a perfect size for 8. Alain, our host, was very helpful & full of top tips on what to do locally.. 😢: There's nothing I didn't like!.
