Les Grandes Balmes I et II (Le Lac)

😊: The apartment was easy to find, and gain access despite our late arrival. Very good communication and instructions for gaining access. The apartments was very clean, plenty of bedding, linen & clean towels. Also very well equipped and the beds are comfortable. There was a hairdrier, nespresso machine and lots of cooking equipment which made our stay easy. We walked 5-10 mins to ski each morning but found we could leave our skis each night with our ski hire at Precision Ski Le Lac so the walk was no problem.. 😢: The only thing which would be helpful is an option of basic grocieries for late arrivals as by the time we got to the town all shops were closed..

😊: The apartment is small but has everything one would need for a week of skiing. There was lots of lovely natural light coming in from the balcony windows and having the dining area set off from the living area was nice. The hosts were very communicative and helpful over text and allowed us to come and pick up the keys earlier than the set time if needed. There was lots of storage for coats, helmets, toiletries and clothes despite it being a small flat. The kitchen was really adequately stocked. We are used to having nothing and needing to buy things like soap, bin bags, seasonings etc but this was all here and left by previous guests which was super helpful. There was also loads of appliances - anything we might need in the kitchen to make teas, coffees, make soups, or even bake if we had wanted to! Location was also amazing - so close to the Intersport and to the main Palafour and Toviere lifts and also super close where the Tignes shuttles stop, as well as the bars and restaurants of Le Lac.. 😢: The wifi which was included had to be collected separately and was simply a travel dongle which didn't really work. Most of us had to rely on what cellular service we had or use the wifi at the Office de Tourism down the road which was not ideal. The ski cupboard was a bit tight for a 4x person apartment but we made it work!.
