LES GRANGES DU MARIDATE: RESTORED BARN CLOSE TO BASIN AND OCEAN BEACHES

We had a great stay at this property and the host made us welcome when we arrived. It was as described in the listing and we even got the wifi working well in the end. The pool area was amazing. The house and utensils could have been cleaner but nothing that particularly affected our stay there. It wasnt great that we had to make our own beds, especially when we only found this out as we went to bed and that we had to hunt around for the duvets (in the wardrobes) and the bedding ( in a basket in the washing machine room) and it wasnt clear what should fit where - this didnt make for a great first impression after our journeying. A handbook of some sort in French or English would have been useful - explaining the pool alarm and oven eg. And some local info would have been nice - market days and closing days for boulangerie. Watch for the beams - even knowing about them didnt prevent the many bumps. And take pool towels with you unless previously agreed with host.

Loved the pool, BBQ fire pit, ping pong table, rooms inside were big and comfortable. Low beams led to many a headache, poor solution for wifi (limited with top-ups) was annoying and badly handled. Owner was a bit too present / involved.,

Petit week-end entre copains pour l’enterrement de vie de garçon de notre ami Benjamin, accueil, très chaleureux de Colette, une très belle maison, un magnifique jardin avec piscine, et son coin barbecue, cuisine, extérieur, impeccable, proche de l’océan, de Bordeaux… bref, au top

Ein wunderschönes Haus im alten Stil erbaut und gepflegt, mit einem großartigen Gelände um das Haus herum. Mit großem Swimmingpool, großflächigen Terrassen, zum Essen und Entspannen, genügend Sitz und Liegemöglichkeiten um sich auch einmal zurückziehen zu können. Besonders erfreulich war das großzügige zusätzliche Gebäude zum Grillen, Essen und Tischtennis spielen unter einem Dach! Es erwies sich in den heißen Tagen als bevorzugter Aufenthaltsort! Kurz - das Objekt ist ein Urlaubsparadies - ein Kleinod! Und dann noch Madame Colette- die liebevolle, charmante Dame als Gastgeberin von nebenan. Man kann sich keinen schöneren Urlaub in einer Großfamilie vorstellen!

Herrlicher Außenbereich, genialer/großer und sauberer Pool, viele gemütliche Sitzmöglichkeiten, Küche geräumig/ für größere Gruppen geeignet und gut ausgestattet, 10 Autominuten zu einem schönen Atlantik- Strand: Plage du Grand Crohot, bequeme Betten und 2 Bäder mit Fenstern. Es gibt nur 2 kleine Kritikpunkte: Die beiden fensterlosen separaten Toiletten sind leider schon etwas muffig und die hinter dem Haus verlaufende Straße ist in den Morgenstunden etwas stärker befahren. Das hat unser super Urlaubsfeeling aber nicht getrübt. Wir hatten wirklich alles, was man braucht! Und eine sehr liebe Gastgeberin, danke Colette! Wir haben den Urlaub sooo genossen!!!!

Super maison. Grande piscine, cuisine d'été et douche exterieur. Logement conforme à l'annonce et à la description. Parfait pour passer un weekend ou des vacances en famille ou entre amis et découvrir le bassin d'Arcachon. Super communication avec la propriétaire qui est très arrangeante (et souple avec les horaires hors juillet/août).Un grand merci.

La maison et les extérieurs sont très agréables. Vraiment tout le confort et très propre. Le plus la gentillesse de Colette et son dynamisme. Je recommande la maison.

Very nice place and friendly hosts. The only drawback is that it had internet listed on HomeAway, but it does not have internet. A little disappointment. Would have gotten 5 if had as listed. Aircondition in the topflor was a must in the summer months. Very nice pool and outdoor private area with barbecue and table tennis under roof. Pool was clean with a daily robot swiping the pool every morning. NOt to much around location but nice spot for getting around to the beaches, Grand Cahot is the closest one(you would need bike or car to get around). Boulanger within walking distance for none Americans. Lots of bike trails in the area.
