Les Hortensias

😊: It was much larger than expected with a very nice garden, relaxing to play with the kids and to read. I liked that there was coffee and soap the first morning (thinks I always forget to buy/bring). The owner was very friendly and helpful.. 😢: -.

😊: Lovely little cottage in the middle of the cider route -very quiet, all you could hear in the mornings were the birds singing. It does not get more peaceful than this. Comfortable beds, great shower, a lovely garden. The kitchen was very well appointed, with all you need (I cooked a pintade, and even small things like a good potato peeler were available). An absolutely wonderful stay.. 😢: There is no air conditioning, and we stayed during the May heat wave. It was ok with the blinds down (the windows face South, so the sun always hits) and the fans, but the bedroom in the top floor was too hot to use -luckily we only needed the two bedrooms downstairs. If you plan to come in the summer, consider the temperatures. Also, the closest boulangerie is in a village a few miles away, so if you want fresh croissants in the morning you need to do an early run in the car (or buy them the previous evening and reheat)..

😊: - Very clean and comfortable. Not big but with everything you need. - Veronique is very friendly and responsive. - We loved the barbeque! We enioyed our stay a lot!. 😢: For some people an issue; the 2 bedrooms are connective, so you have to walk trough to get to the bathroom. And the bedroom in the 1 level you cannot stand up straight. Both no issues for us!.
