😊: A lovely, quirky and unusual property in an historic building on an island on the banks of the Loire in Saumur. Very easy to find. Street parking right outside. A quiet and pretty neighbourhood with river walks and easy access to the bridge and main town attractions of Saumur. The apartment was light and sunny, comfortable and very well equipped with everything we needed. Lovely cotton bed linen, fluffy towels, handmade soap and a well equipped kitchen.. 😢: We stayed during a heatwave and the fans did a good job but it was a bit warm..

😊: Clean with a modern bathroom. 😢: The small appartment was very hot and had an unpleasant smell. You enter it via a rusty metal staircase which was wisely not shown in the photos. It was even so disappointing that my wife and I decided to book another place instead..

😊: Beautiful apartment, great and quiet location, we were able to store our bikes safely. The apartment is very well equipped with everything you need for your daily life and has lovely decorations. You can really feel at home there. The host was very helpful and kind. An absolute great place to stay!!. 😢: You can hear the neighbours talk through the walls if you’re sensitive to noise, but at nighttime everything was absolutely quiet..
