Les Sardines

😊: Property was clean and light, in a good location for the Normandy beaches. The facilities were good (dishwasher/washing machine/coffee machine/fridge), and the apartment was the right size for the three of us....a fourth adult would have been a squeeze (but still doable). Comms from Sebastien were good, and clear.. 😢: Understandably for the location, there are gulls and pigeons...they like to sit on the balcony railings and (naturally) leave messes behind. It would have been good if (a) the railings had been cleaned before we went in, and (b) if there were appropriate cleaning/disinfecting materials so we could clear up small amounts of mess. That said, it isn't a major issue..

As Canadians it was very special that our apartment view included Juno Centre on Juno Beach. We were able to visit the many WW2 sites on the Normandy coast from the Cotentin peninsula to Etretat and of course inland including Bayeux, Caen and Rouen. Do not miss Pointe du Hoc. The apartment was spacious with a large, well equipped kitchen, living/dining area and comfy bedroom. Lots of storage if required and the 2 loggias provided even more space to enjoy the view and sun throughout the day. We prepared our own meals including picnic lunches and supermarkets were a ten minute drive. The beach was a 5 minute walk. The rental agency provided very clear check-in instructions and parking info and also a quick response to an electrics issue. We were very pleased with this property and location.
