Lille Centre - Appartement lumineux avec parking

😊: We enjoyed our stay in this comfortable one-bedroom apartment close to the historic city centre of Lille. Free and secure parking is a real bonus. Communication with the concierge team was very good with clear instructions about how to access the building, the parking arrangements etc. The cost for our four-night stay was very reasonable. There are bars, restaurants and shops in the immediate vicinity, including a very good patisserie. There is a pleasant park nearby and a good market a 25 minute walk away. The apartment was warm, clean, comfortable and well-equipped (with a few exceptions mentioned below). There is abundant hot water and a strong shower. The kitchen is well-equipped with a fridge-freezer, induction hob and dishwasher although we didn't use this as we prefer to washup at the sink. There was also a washing machine that we didn't use. The kingsize bed was very comfortable indeed, with quality bedding. There is lots of storage space in the bedroom. The kitchen/dining area has comfortable seating and is a pleasant space to relax. Excellent wi-fi. The apartment was very quiet indeed despite being situated on a busy street. There was no disturbance at all from outside or from other occupants of the apartment building. All in all, we would definately recommend this accommodation in lovely Lille and would visit again.. 😢: Just a few things were missing from what is otherwise a well-equipped holiday apartment; namely, there were no hand towels; no plugs for the bathroom sink or the kitchen sink, and no washing-up bowl. We prefer to wash up by hand so this was a disadvantage. There were also no chopping boards, surface protectors, no bread board or place mats. The shower is over the bath but there was no shower mat and no handrail. Perhaps inevitably given my age, I slipped and fell while having a shower!! Of course I did! Luckily, I sustained no injury. Other reviewers have mentioned strong and unpleasant odours in the underground carpark and also odours from the internal area where household waste is deposited. While this is to some extent true, the proprieters and concierge team can't be held responsible for this. One other issue needs to be mentioned. On arrival at the apartment, we immediately noticed that the work top next to the induction hob was damaged . A hot pan had clearly been placed on the surface which had scorched and melted it. Although the team must have seen this damage previously, as it was quite substantial, I nonetheless thought it wise to take a photograph to ensure that we would not be held responsible for it. I took the photo within 20 minutes of us accessing the apartment at the start of our stay. I contacted the concierge team later on that first day and was asked to send a photograph of the damage, which rather ominously suggested that it had not previously been noted. This has unsettled me, given that a £250 holding deposit is retained by the proprieters at the beginning of the stay. I have had no confirmation as yet that the proprieters/concierge team were aware of the damage and will not hold us responsible. I would add that we only used the induction hob once during our visit. This was on our third day in the apartment when we had boiled eggs for breakfast..

😊: Convenient location within walking distance of the city centre.. 😢: The parking space is very small, and there is no plug for the basin or bath and we had to purchase our own dish cloth and pot holder for removing hot dishes from the oven..

L'appartement est super bien placé, à quelques minutes à pied du Grand Palais, de toutes commodités. Et à quelques minutes en voiture des échangeurs pour prendre l'autoroute. L'appartement est bien décoré et dispose des équipements nécessaires pour quelques jours. Le lit est super confortable, c'est un vrai plus !
