Little House Near St Cirq Lapopie

Le gîte est super, parfaitement équipé et d'une propreté irréprochable. La maison est située sur un très grand terrain parfaitement indépendant (pour la voiture),en retrait de la route (tranquillité),près de Saint Cyr Lapopie ,donc des promenades superbes . Les habitants et les commerçants sont charmants ,polis et serviables . Bilan :Excellent séjour.

Des Hôtes charmants et dévoués nous ont particulièrement bien reçus dans ce très joli gîte ou tout était parfait . Merci d'avoir pu passer une agréable semaine dans cette belle région .

We spent a week at Serge and Michelle's lovely gite as a family of 5 (grown children of 15, 19 and 20). The house was lovely, had everything we needed and in a super beautiful setting. Just a 3 min drive from the river beach at the bottom of St Cirq Lapopie, Peche Merle caves about 15 mins away and lots of things going on locally as it was July. Our hosts only spoke French but we worked it all out and they were very warm and welcoming.

We had a great stay at this property. The house is well thought- out, with lots of light, balcony overlooking the living area, beautiful staircases, and two patios for outdoor dining or relaxation in the sun. Serge and Michelle were very warm and responsive and, with our limited French, we were able to communicate effectively. A short walk to the nearby village, short drives to many more ancient villages and markets, beautiful countryside, and hiking trails from the doorstep. There was even ample space in their meadow for a frisbee toss in the late evening light. We were sorry to leave.

We are in our mid-70s and had been hoping to celebrate our Golden Wedding in France before Covid struck. Finally, we made it to this beautiful region and it was well worth the wait. The Gite was super, well appointed and with everything that you needed for a perfect stay. The hosts were delightful and attentive without being intrusive. The are itself was stunning with bird song and butterflies everywhere. We highly recommend this property for those who love nature, tranquility and peace.

The whole experience was of the highest quality. Superb gite, beautiful renovation of an old building. Lots of space, very high quality facilities, immaculate and very homely. Perfect location for touring the area by bike and shop/fuel is close by. All in all, one of very the best overall rental experiences.

I can honestly say that the Gite was superb and the owners were really lovely and friendly. Despite them not speaking English ands not speaking French very well, they interacted with us very well. The surrounding area was beautiful. We were the first English to go the the Gite and would definitely recommend that those you do not speak English to not be too bothered about the language as the wife of the owner, knew a small amount of English..
