Lodge character right in the heart of the medieval town

We had a 4 night stay at the house/apartment, it is right in the middle of the walled town a great location, restaurants, bars, shops including a bakery in-fact everything is nearby, so you don’t need a hire car the airport is 10 minutes in a taxiAccommodation was just right so all in all a great break.

Awesome place, excellent all round

We had a fantastic fortnight’s stay in Sylvie’s wonderful gîte. The location is sensational - right in the heart of the medieval city. It felt a privilege to be there, it’s so special. Check-in could not be easier - a number code, provided in advance. Also good instructions for where to park the car (there’s a permit for free parking and we never struggled to get a spot even in August).The gîte was clean, well furnished and equipped and very comfortable (inc the beds!). Excellent washing machine, dishwasher and hob. The open plan living area is a generous size and allowed us to relax in comfort.Worth noting that It was boiling hot whilst we were there, but we were able to regulate the temperature pretty well with the excellent fans and using the window shuttersThere’s an incredible bakery across the street - they also have a garden in which you can eat their lovely pastries and coffee. Lots of wonderful places to eat within a very short walk. We’d be delighted to return one day! Not least also because Sylvie is so lovely, helpful and accommodating.

Very nice house! Very clean. With the widows closed it is quiet, but quite loud on the street side all day and night if they are open. It could use some ceiling fans for the hot summer nights. More towels would be nice, as well. Overall met all of our needs with the washing machine helping with the towel shortage. There is not a clothes dryer, but a drying rack is provided. Really cute place to stay within the medieval city of Carcassonne!

The beds were really comfortable and shower was great. Kitchen seemed have a good selection of things though we didn’t do any cooking. You need to bring in any food if you are not eating out. There are no supermarkets etc within the grounds. The bakery across the street is fabulous and does good coffee. Great location and also great to be there outside tourist hours. The apartment would be really hot in summer. Only one complaint. Our first night was hot and we put on the portable air con. It was next to useless unless you stood in front of it. There were no instructions so maybe we didn’t use it correctly.
