Lodge-Hôtel & Spa les Voiles du Grand Large

Decent hotel stay. You basically get a little cabin to yourself. They are clean, modern, and overall very comfortable. The lake is nice to walk around. The spa is mostly great. The dry sauna was wonderful, the hot tub/jacuzzi isn’t very hot (just warm), the hammam (steam sauna) had a funky smell. The treadmill in the mini gym was broken. There is a restaurant onsite but closed Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. There closests grocery stores or restaurants/cafes are about a 30 minute walk away if you don’t have a car. This is a very suburbian area. Only thing nearby is the lake you can’t swim in and a park. The main issue I had was that the WiFi did not work inside the cabin, had to stand outside or go to the reception area to use the WiFi so working on my laptop wasn’t possible. Other than that, it’s a decent place to stay.

Wasn't aware the restaurant was closed for two days of our stay sun and mon. Dissapointed with lodge facilities, shower enclosure terribly dark. Staff at reception very helpful

Nice size cabin for the price. We only booked for 1 night because we had tickets for the football match and needed somewhere close to stay. It served its purpose, however needs upgrading, one of the shower cubicles was broken and there was dust everywhere. Would recommend as a cheap stopover but not if you want to relax as it wasnt the nicest area.

Misunderstood the checkin spot, it was not very clearly marked. Beautifully located by the lake. The cabin was spacious with two bedrooms and their own bathrooms. Parking was close by the cabin which is a plus.

Good, small cabin, beds are not very comfortable , but I’d good after all The spa is good , breakfast was very very basic ,

Great restaurant onsite! Easy check in…kind of a camp ground but comfortable accommodations.

We stayed just one night for the Taylor Swift concert and it was very conveniently located to the stadium for the price. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed for dinner due to an event but we were able to get food down the road and they we’re accommodating for us when we wanted to purchase some wine for our room even though the event was still going. Overall would recommend for a rustic stay, amenities are basic but for the price it is definitely worthwhile.

I book this for me and my family of 4 to overnight before a flight. We got in late (10 pm) and the whole place was shut down with lights out. I made a call to the contact number given by Expedia. After working my way around a french only automated answering system a gentleman responded... in french. He was of Portuguese origin and did not speak a word in English. We worked around that with some of my broken French and partial Spanish, and finally he came driving, opened up the reception cabin and handed me the keys. In all fairness, he did his best. However, this is basically a trailer park with cabins available (not really an apartment hotel). We drove to the cabin and opened up the front sliding door. The amenities were basically none in the cabin we were assigned and bedding did not leave a lot to be desired and the furniture was filthy and some broken (broken table foot, candle wax on the table top, and the two chairs to accompany the indoor dining table were broken plastic patio chairs. Bedding and towels looked like they had been washed a thousand times and were worn with matching softness. One room had a queen size spring bed of some sort and the other had bunk bed not fitting for an adult or tall teen. I had booked this based on it fitting 4 people, being not too far from LYS Airport, AND because of the pictures, which did NOT represent the actual condition of the lodging. The photographer did a great job here in making the lodges presentable. We left!
