😢: The stay in Tours was unsatisfactory. Having travelled around several countries and always through Booking, this was the first time I didn't feel safe. The flat was clean, but the photos didn't show that there were no windows, there were two doors without curtains through which we had to enter the house, as the shutters were halfway up the door due to the heat we had to get in low and put our knees on the floor, in the toilet space there was a high window that couldn't be closed, anyone who wanted to could peek in from the street. Inside the house there was a door that couldn't be closed and led to some stairs and another bathroom where we could hear people flushing the loo; we had to put furniture behind the door to make sure no one else entered the flat. The entrance is via very narrow spiral staircases where it is difficult to get through with large luggage. The exterior is very poorly maintained. The gate is electric and when you open it from the inside you have to put your arm through the bars, which start moving straight away, which is dangerous if you're not quick. On the last day we were asked to remove the sheets from the beds and the bathroom towels from the table. I don't recommend it, I'd rather pay a bit more or for the same price there were other possibilities. If there are two canals from different families, you have no privacy because the shower is in the kitchen and the toilet depends on passing by the other bed..

😊: There is an excelent boulangerie within a 5 minutes walk, I've been there every morning at 6.30 am to get breakfast for my wife and my kid. The parking is very easy to find and secured since you can close the gate at night. The flat is very spacious and super clean, 2 toilets and 2 showers is a big plus as well. The terrace is big enough for a kid to run around. I would suggest to add a couple of plant to make it even nicer. The kitchen is well equipped, induction plates, oven, fridge and freezer. This is perfect base camp if you want to explore the chateaux de la Loire or go to the Futuroscope in Poiter, everything is within one hour or so by car. In order to go to the city centre you can get the bus, the nearest stop is within 5 minutes walk. The communication with the host has been perfect as well, I never worried about checking in or checking out. And, for the most imporant part, the WiFi is great. 😢: The flat is in a part of the city that is a bit run down, however I felt safe all the time even when getting out at night or early in the morning..
