😊: A very convenient stop on our way south. Clean house with all facilities that we needed. Very helpful host.. 😢: Nothing.

😊: We liked the fairly large and open nature of the kitchen and living room and large TV. This meant we could all be together during cooking and eating, and relaxing in the evenings.. 😢: The main problem we had was the inaccurate description. It was advertised as 4 bedrooms, but in fact there were 2 self contained rooms, the other 2 rooms with beds were connected rooms. So these could not be accessed without going through the 2 bedroom. This made things awkward, but everyone just made allowances, which was far from satisfactory. The property is lived in by the owner, who moved out for the duration. The second problem was there there was zero storage for clothes, and indeed even the bedside drawers were full of personal items. We had to store our clothes on the floor or find ways of keeping off the floor as there were no wardrobes or shelves. Many surfaces in the 'bedrooms' were dusty and the whole property felt like it needed a thorough clean and refresh. We were also concerned about the safety of the electrics, with the owner telling us the oven had to be unplugged from the wall and some wiring elsewhere was exposed and the fans not working in the bathroom and toilet. We also had flooding problems in the utility room because the plumbing was inadequate and fell off with the overflow not even connected. The description referred to air conditioning which were were pleased about. But again this was inaccurate as this just referred to some fans and a unit which just ended up blowing hot air into one of the connected bedrooms and living area. While the owner was pleasant and friendly, I am afraid the property was a big let down for us, as we had been looking forward it for months. We paid £400 a night for 5 night and we all feel we have recourse to claim some sort of rebate from either the owner or agent..

😊: Good value, well designed loft, fine for being at the racetrack all day. 😢: Only one "real" bedroom , several mattress need replacement,.
