😊: Rustic, quirky accommodation with secure parking and in a great location to get ahead of the crowds to visit Perouges. Arrival instructions were clear with the help of previous guests' comments!. 😢: Entrance and courtyard could do with a bit of sprucing up. The water in the plunge pool did not look safe to use. The kitchen was adequate and the outdoor terrace area was fairly small . We did not meet the hosts. Compared to many other similar properties we have booked thro Booking.com this was not the best value for money.

😊: Private and quiet..

😊: Being a short walk to the ancient city was good. The barn setting was interesting. We enjoyed restaurants here. The Information Centre was helpful and ordered our taxi to the station as we had no other option with no phone.. 😢: We did not realise that a car was essential for accessing shops in Meximieux., Also a phone to communicate in French. Not an option for some overseas visitors. Taxis can only be ordered by phone and our hostess was unable to give us access to the key code. Fortunately a neighbour was able to ring in our behalf and we received the code..

😊: Very unique and rustic. Peaceful.. 😢: Initial problem with the access but was quickly fixed. The bed was a bit hard..
