😊: Ideal location and lovely setting. Nice property we’ll set out and good use of space. Communication good and great instructions for finding it and access.. 😢: Cleaning could have been better. In an old property you’d expect cobwebs but there were a lot . Also lots of dust , an old carrier bag and nerf bullets under the bed. One bed like it looked like it had been slept in before..

😊: Lovely outdoor space. Gite had everything we needed.. 😢: Took us a while to get used to all the doors and little steps, but didn’t detract from how lovely the Gite was. Patio area could have done with weeding..

😊: The location was well placed to visit all the D-Day beaches, Memorials and Cemeteries, which we had made the journey to see. Very handy for Bayeux and Caen. The cottage has great potential to be a good place to stay, in pleasant surroundings.. 😢: Communication was abysmal. Every enquirey, Email or phone, was met with an automated response. It took too many attempts to get information on how to gain access and the information was not provided until we had been sat outside the property for some time. The information that was repeatedly sent consisted, in the main, of advertising for businesses in Bayeux. I was fuming by the time we gained entry and it got worse when I discovered that there was no cold water feed to the sinks in the bathroom. Another major setback was that there was no apparent way of retaining water in the sinks. I have had experience with many sorts of retention devices but none appeared to exist here. The water problem was reported but no action taken during our stay. An apology for being too busy to have anybody there to greet us did not pacify me..

😊: Location was excellent and the building had charm from the outside. 😢: There were cobwebs everywhere, and the whole place felt a little tired and uncared for. Doors wouldn't close properly. There was a very musty smell. The instructions for the bin collection were unclear and when queried there was no response. The toaster tripped the power when used. And there were no cleaning products for us on arrival, which I believe should be standard..
