We had a lovely relaxing and peaceful holiday in Bures, a well equipped and beautifully clean and well maintained house , with large gardens, a lovely pool and a great table tennis table! Lots of places to explore nearby in true rural Normandy , but easy access to larger centres like Rouen and by train up to Paris for the day. Alan and Heather were very welcoming , and were really helpful re local knowledge and information; we really enjoyed our stay

I booked a last minute surprise long weekend away for me and my 3 boys aged 12, 10 & 1. The hosts were fantastic and very friendly and welcomed us on our arrival. They recognised my two older boys were dying to try out the pool and it didn’t disappoint. Perfect temperature and very clean. The accommodation was very homely and comfortable and clean. Throughout our stay, Alan and Heather ensured the boys had plenty to play with to keep them occupied and were very helpful giving suggestions on days out. I’ll definitely go there again! Without the boys next time

We had a fab holiday in Bures, the location is glorious and we all loved the pool! Really friendly and helpful hosts (thanks Alan for the help with the car lamp adjuster stickers!) . We enjoyed hearing about the history of the properties as well. Only let down was the weather, but we found plenty to do, and feeding the sheep was enjoyed by our girls!

Le séjour chez Alan et Heather a été très ressourçant ! Les hôtes nous ont très bien accueillies et ont été attentifs à ce que nous passions un bon séjour. La maison située dans le village de Bures permet tout à la fois de se reposer au calme et de faire de belles promenades dans la région. Nous recommandons !

We had a wonderful 3 day stay in Bures at the cottage. Alan and Heather were wonderful hosts., available when we needed them but also hands off. Our son had a great time in the pool (which is even better in person than the photos) and we were able to rest and relax with no worries. This house itself was well appointed with a great kitchen. We were really surprised to find both a gas stove and private bbq outside which made cooking meals easy and enjoyable. We loved the quiet but also having access to larges villages a short drive away. We would certainly stay here again and recommend to any friends that wanted to see the area

What a really lovely property! Really high quality interior with top kitchen gadgets, decent TV and DVD setup. Good WiFi (we were able to watch UK television on my iPad). Rooms were good size, both with en-suite shower and toilet. Downstairs the lounge was decent size. We particularly loved the kitchen dining room with it’s big table and plenty of room and gadgets. Outside there are a number of generous seating areas to enjoy the beautiful grounds. The pool and it’s surrounding area is top quality. Big pool. Alan and Heather were very welcoming and easygoing. Thanks again for all the strawberries- we ate the lot for our breakfast(s). We would definitely go back. What a relaxing and quality place to stay.
