Lovely house, facing south, quiet and wooded area, near lake, pool

We enjoyed 2 weeks at this quiet gite,hidden away in the forest, but close to all amenities. Everything was within cycling distance for us and the routes are mostly on great off road tracks that take you to lakes, the coast and local villages. The host was very helpful and on hand with helpful advice if required - the gite is lovely.

Une semaine en famille, un lieu très calme entre les pins loin de la foule. Des propriétaires très gentils, la villa possède tout ce dont on à besoin. Bien situés puisque vous pouvez faire pleins de promenades depuis ce lieu. Nous y retournerons sans problème. Merci !!

The property and its gardens with pool is very well looked after and maintained to an excellent standard. It was in the perfect location for us, 5 minutes from the supermarket and fuel station. 15 minutes from the coast with Lacanau Ocean, its beautiful sandy long beaches and big waves for the surfers. Less than an hour to Bordeaux and plenty of different scenic routes available. Overall a great place to stay and would definitely recommend.

Schönes, sehr gut ausgestattetes Haus in einem sehr gepflegten großen schönen Garten. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt und wir haben uns ausgesprochen wohl gefühlt. Véronique ist sehr nett und war immer hilfsbereit!

Très bonne adresse pour se reposer et se ressourcer.Les propriétaires sont très gentils et serviables,de l’accueil au départ.

We enjoyed the many cycle tracks which take you safely through heathland and woods to the beautiful lakes and coast - at the coast you have the choice of sunbathing, surfing etc or finding a quiet bit of coast to call your own. Back at the Gite there is a large secluded garden with a choice of eating areas - and of course the lovely swimming pool.

Lovely hosts. Thank you Veronique and Patrice. A very peaceful and remote location. Lodge immaculate and fitted with everything necessary (need to remember to take your own towels). Garden was beautiful and private. The bikes were excellent and the local trails easy to find. The pool was lovely at the beginning of my stay .... 20 degrees but by the middle of October too cool for me! Main bed was very comfy, not sure about the singles. There is a good super U supermarket in Lacanau, just a couple of miles away. If you want a huge Le Clerc. 35 mins drive towards Bordeaux at St.Medard en Jalles. No hesitation in recommending Les Bambous for a peaceful holiday.

Absolutely delightful and charming. Describes property, location and our hosts! Véronique and Patrice could not have done more to make our holiday any more enjoyable, from the warmth of their welcome to their attention to detail. The property is exactly as described; immaculately clean, well equipped and thoroughly maintained. We would have no reservations in recommending this property to anyone and we cannot wait to find the earliest opportunity to return.
