luxury house with view and pool in the Pilat region of Condrieu

The house was well-appointed, clean and comfortable. Laurent was a welcoming and informative host. The location was convenient for exploring the Northern Rhône wine region while also being quiet and peaceful. The wood burning stove put out lots of heat, which was great since we arrived when it was cold and raining, and there was lots of dry firewood available for use. The views from the house are beautiful, and if the weather had been better we would have used the patio and pool. We would have liked some larger or better towels for the bathroom, but this was our only minor quibble. All else was perfect!

This was an incredible location to enoy the French countryside, great wines, incredible food, the landscaping incredible, and we're up in the mountains in the clouds, and the view was better than the pictures. Wonderful house, swimming pool, bocci court, and nature in abundance. The kichen was very well equipped, firewood provided for fireplace. There were so many attractions within an easy drive. The host was very responsive to all of our questions. We will be returning in the future. Thank you Laurent.

The house is located closely to Lyon but still in the middle of the nature with a stunning view. Three and a half bedrooms, a spacious kitchen, a nice living room, a great terrace, an additional sundeck and even an owl boules track and a large pool leave nothing to be desired. Only thing one needs to know beforehand is that the street directly in front of the house is very steep and that you are only able to enter the driveway in reverse. All in all no problem as long as your car is not too flat or you are arriving with a trailer.

Nous avons passé un superbe séjour (3 adultes et 4 enfants/adolescent). La piscine est magnifique (et au sel, ce que nous avons trouvé fort apréciable) et nous avons arpenté le terrain de pétanque en long, en large et en travers tous les jours. La vue est est par ailleurs incroyable, l'endroit paisible et la table de ping-pong un plus des plus agréable. Un tout petit bémol quant à la place disponible dans les armoires, mais cela ne nous a pas empêché de nous installer confortablement. Un grand merci à Nelly qui nous a très bien accueilli et merci également au propriétaire pour sa gentille attention lors de notre arrivée et pour son aide.

Our two families thoroughly enjoyed our stay in La Chapelle-Villars. The property was better than depicted in the photos and both the views and pool were a great hit with both the children and adults. It was nice to relax at the house or to travel short distances to explore the village of Condrieu or the city of Vienne. We found it to be the perfect base for the Women's World Cup in Lyon. We would certainly recommend this property and would like to visit the region again.
