Ma Pause Champêtre

😊: This is a great sized house with 3 large bedrooms with all en-suite. The kitchen and table are amazing for family meals if you want to stay in for food, sometimes the home-cooked food is better than restaurants. The beds, are comfortable but are typical french and close to the floor. Caroline is an amazing host and offered help if we needed it. The swimming pool is above ground, as seen from the pictures, but it is pleasant to swim in and a respectable size. The house is in a remote location, for me, I loved that about the place - it is so quiet that you can hear dogs barking from far away - I guess some complained previously as there are earplugs provided in case they disturb you, but if you can hear those dogs from that far away then you know you are in a quiet place. Excellent internet and TV, fast enough to watch some Netflix etc and to keep the children occupied.. 😢: When we were there, it was hot - there is no aircon at the house, but there are fans provided. Flies! Lots of flies every where, not the fault of the house but the flies like to come and visit you. Sofa and chairs in the lounge are OK, not great in comfort but alright for an evening or two..

😊: The host was very friendly and the house was spacious and well equipped for a family of 4.. 😢: Nothing to do with the house or host but there are quite a lot of dogs nearby who I could hear barking at various times but not continuously. As an animal lover this was not ideal for me..
