Magnificent 3 with swimming pool and tennis court - Private estate in Touraine

A very quiet and private villa; a large, beautifully converted barn on a huge amount of land! Our 3 dogs loved running round within the fenced grounds, although we needed to keep an eye that they didn’t go into the ponds within the villa’s fence, none of which are fenced. The heated pool was fenced and was actually heated to a very pleasant temperature - it was delightful to swim in and for our girls (9 and 12) to play in. We all loved playing ping pong and tennis on the court. The villa is very spacious and great for a family (7 of us, inc my mother, brother and his wife and dogs) who might need to find a quiet spot on occasion. Bedrooms are all similar sizes and all have either an ensuite or a bathroom opposite - couldn’t fault them. We did not venture for a walk beyond the villa’s fence, largely due to the horse flies which are abundant beyond the gates. Our high level insect repellent was needed. However, there was plenty of outside space without going into the forest. We saw deer and boar from the villa, plus woodpeckers and heron. Villandry is a quick drive away and our favourite Chateau due to its beautiful garden. We went to the Night of a 1000 lights on our first night and were dazzled with a stunning light and firework display - worth a trip. The supermarket is only a 10 min drive away and easy to find. We would definitely return, but would be sure to remember our insect repellent for forest and round the ponds! Communication with the hosts was excellent. Thank you!

Beautiful house in an incredibly quiet, peaceful place surrounded by forest and nature. We had an amazing stay with friends, and our kids (9 to 12) loved the tennis, pool and table tennis. The house itself is really well equipped, qnd serves as an excellent gateway to a gorgeous part of France - we went canoeing on the Loire, winetasting (several times) and visited Tours, Villandry and some other smaller local gems. All in all - highly recommended.

Great place for a relaxing holiday. We visited with 3 children (ages 6,4 and 1). Lots for them to do with the tennis court, pool, exploring the grounds and spotting all the animals in the forest. Laure met us at the property and was really friendly and helpful. The house is amazing, clean and well equipped. Beds are comfy. There’s lots to do nearby in the surrounding area. So many Châteaus and lovely villages. Great flat cycling along the Loire. We’ll definitely be back.

Our experience of renting this house was wonderful. The photos do not do it justice! The decor is more modern than it appears in the photos, the communal space is huge, and there are a number of outdoor seating areas which mean that you can catch the sun at any time of the day. The pool was perfect for our two families with young children. It is fenced off, shallow and excellent for children who are learning to swim. The location is extremely rural, with no amenities in walking distance, but we had a brilliant time spotting deer, hare and warthog in the local woods with the kids. The tennis courts, table tennis and pool kept the children amused for hours. Our only challenge was visiting during the recent heatwave, but the property manager did everything she could to help us out by providing fans and was exceptionally helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back, but had some issues with the property. The kitchen didn't have adequate working surfaces, we had to move the microwave, toaster etc to make room. The cupboard under the sink which housed the recycling bags was smelly and the bags were dirty. There was a large gap in the worktop at the sink which was not hygienic. All in all the kitchen was not the standard we would expect. The stairs up to the mezzanine were dangerous at the top because of a wooden slat across the top stair, which we tripped on. The approach road was very rough and although we drove over it very slowly and carefully one of our party had a puncture which caused a ripped tyre which he had to replace himself. (this was a new car) The dining area outside the kitchen needs a new roof as the rain comes through. We would rather have paid for the property in British Pounds as paying in Euros meant we had another £150 bank charges. These are all things which can be put right so hopefully improvements will be made and we will go back next year. Swimming pool and tennis court were fabulous

The barn conversion was done to a high standard. we stayed with 8 adults and 4 children and had plenty of space.Facilities around were great the children had good fun in the pool and the tennis court. The free roaming wild life of deer and wild bore were a nice addition to give it that rural feel whilst being close to a big town and amenities. The pictures shown on the web site do it no justice as the real thing is far nicer. I recommend it to anyone

A very secluded house that was comfortable, clean and well equipped. Two families with all adults stayed and always had things to entertain everyone - pool, table tennis, tennis, woodland walks or just relaxing in the peaceful surroundings. Would definitely consider returning and maybe sightseeing more with the Loire nearby and the many chateaus.

Amazing property, Sandrine was lovely and very easy to work with. We stayed with two families and enjoy the property immensely swimming, playing tennis and ping pong, walking, playing with the goats -- and all within 30 minutes of the wonderful chateaux of the loire! We would have loved to have spent a full week! Recommending without reservation!
