Magnifique gîte, bord de rivière la Sauldre, piscine tennis, 8-11pers, SOLOGNE

A wonderful house to stay in, very tranquil, and Jehanne was so helpful and kind. We had a wonderful stay with two families, and four 10-13 year old boys.

Beautiful accommodation in a lovely setting. Great facilities (tennis, pool, sauna, jacuzzi), outdoor dining, barbecue, next to a river, lovely owners, close to a town that has good food outlets. Very peaceful, plenty of wildlife (deer, foxes, cormorants, kestrels). Very relaxing! Hostess very helpful in every way! Thanks for a very nice stay!

The owner Jeanne-Claire is absolutely lovely and wants everything to be as easy, comfortable and relaxing as possible for her guests. She was so helpful and responsive every time we needed anything and it was a always a pleasure to chat and find out about the chateau and it’s history and the area. She was very sorry that the WiFi wasn’t working during our stay. If WiFi is important to you, it might be worth checking with her first. The cottage is comfortable with a particularly easy and relaxing lliving room downstairs…but best of all is the outside space with view of the small river and bridge and forests beyond. There is a huge table for outside meals…particularly lovely in the evening when the light is pink and sun has set. The grounds of the chateau are lovely … with a couple of small lakes (shallow and not used for fishing when we were there in a hot and dry August) and a shared swimming pool and a fantastic tennis court. And table tennis! The pool cd be busy if both the gite guests and the chateau guests wanted to use it at the same time ….but it was never a problem. We had the pool to ourselves most of the time. This is a lovely holiday destination if you want to do very little. The English family holidaying in the chateau when we were there seemed to be out and about all the time (visiting the fabulous castles I think) but we were very lazy and spent our days at the pool and the court. The super market is between 10 and 15 mins. One useful point perhaps that we didn’t see mentioned on the website is that one of the double rooms (with en suite bathroom) is downstairs. That worked out really well for my 90 year old mother. Last thing to mention is Jeanne-Claire has a friend who will can cook and deliver a very nice meal for you. This worked out so much cheaper than going our for a meal and it lasted us for 2 nights!

The gite was as described and in a beautiful setting. It was a super place to relax, the children made the most of the trampoline and we all loved the swimming pool. The town of Romorantin is worth a visit and has everything you need. We didn't do as much as we had planned because of the heat but it is a lovely part of France

Superbe domaine …..gîte très confortable et chaleureux …. Vue sur la nature et les chevreuils …. Possibilité de visiter de nombreux châteaux …. Le zoo de beauval …. Ou de farniente dans la propriété ( pêche possible …. Piscine … tennis … ballades )dépaysement total ! Sans oublier la bienveillance de la propriétaire à tous niveaux ….. On recommande à 💯 !!!!

We had an absolutely lovely time staying in this wonderful Gite. It is positioned in stunning grounds next to a larger Chateau. There are beautiful woodlands, lakes and a River all on the door step. The property was really clean and had everything you could want. We really enjoyed using the pizza oven and BBQ and watching the deer in the evenings. Lots for the kids to do, nice clean swimming pool, trampoline, table tennis and a tennis court to name a few. It’s a perfect location for a nice quiet getaway with the ability to go and explore the Loire valley and beyond if you so wish. I would hesitate recommending and the hosts were incredibly welcoming and gracious. Thanks you

Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable, la maison est tout à fait adaptée pour une famille. Le sauna et le jaccuzi sont un vrai plus, tout comme la cheminée. Très belles promenades dans les environs. Les châteaux de la Loire sont à visiter. Disponibilité totale de la propriétaire très bienveillante! Merci pour les cadeaux de bienvenue de production locale. Nous reviendrons sûrement !

Charmant gîte dans le domaine du château. Beaucoup d'espace à l’intérieur et à l’extérieur. Au mois de Novembre, on a beaucoup apprécié la cheminée et le four a pizza, un peu moins la présence de nombreux chasseur dans le domaine, ce qui limite la possibilité de se promener en tranquillité dans les bois. Les enfants ont bien aimé nourrir les chèvres et les poules. Très bon accueil, la propriétaire est gentille et disponible.
