Magnifique maison récente - beau Jardin - Site classé - 6 personnes

Tolle Lage für Ausflüge. Man kann innerhalb von 10 Minuten zum Strand spazieren. An der Promenade sind Hunde leider verboten, aber hinter der Promenade am endlosen Strand erlaubt. Leider hatten wir Pech mit dem Wetter so dass wir den tollen Garten kaum nutzen konnten.

Wir, eine fünfköpfige Familie mit erwachsenen Kindern, haben uns zwei Wochen wohl gefühlt in dem gemütlichen Haus in Wissant. Das einfache Ferienhaus ist recht praktisch und mit Charme eingerichtet. Der Tipp vom Vermieter, mit dem Gartentisch der Abendsonne zu folgen, war genauso hilfreich wie der große neue Schirm bei zuviel Sonne. Die Hausübergabe hat sehr gut geklappt, war flexibel und sehr freundlich. Die Lage der Doppelhaushälfte am Rande einer Hausreihe hat uns gut gefallen, da man nur einen Nachbarn hat. Zur Promenade am Meer geht man in 7 Minuten die Straße hinunter - zum Teil auch durch eine schöne historische Siedlung. Wissant liegt wunderschön zwischen Cap Gris Nez und Cap Blanc Nez mit einem beeindruckendem Strand von vielen Kilometern Länge, die Breite des Strandes schwankt zwischen einigen hundert und einigen wenigen Metern bei Ebbe und Flut. Als Alternative zum Strandleben und ausgedehnten Wanderungen bieten sich historisch Interessierten die vielen Museen und Gedenkstätten zum 2. Weltkrieg an.

Nous avons passé une très belle semaine de vacances avec nos 2 petites-filles. La situation du cottage est idéale: tout est accessible à pied. Nous avons aussi bien apprécié les 2 salles de bain et le grand jardin clôturé. Notre petite Valentine a même pu profiter du parking pour s'entraîner sur son petit vélo!

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Woche mit vier Erwachsenen, zwei Kindern (5 Jahre und 10 Monate) und zwei Hunden! Das Haus hat für uns genau gepasst. 3 gleichwertige Schlafzimmer, zwei Bäder, genug Sitzmöglichkeiten im Wohnraum, ein toller abgeschlossener Garten mit Terasse und eine sehr gut ausgestattete Küche, in der wir richtig kochen konnten! Sogar Spielzeug, ein Babybett, ein Hochstuhl und ein Treppengitter für unseren Kleinsten waren vorhanden! Die Lage des Hauses ist super, oberhalb vom Campingplatz, schneller Weg zum Ort und Meer und Wissant zwischen dem deux Caps ist sowieso prima! Ein rundum gelungener Urlaub! Gerne wieder! nous quatres, venant de l´Allemagne, passent de temps en temps une petite semaine par année à Wissant. Alors nous connaissons deja un peu des maisons (en general maison de pêcheurs toute mignonne) à Wissant. Cette fois.-ci nous avons choisi une maison recente car nous somme bien grand et mon mari se coigné quelques fois la tete dans les petites maisons. Cette fois-ci nous avons bien aimé un peu plus d´espace et de lumiere dans la maison, car un peu plus grand et le jardin et super aussi pour les enfants. La marche à pied à la plage et max 10 minutes par les petites ruelles de Wissant. La maison est super équipé et bien propre. La communication etait formidable et nous pouvons que recommandé la maison et la gérante Ornella qui nous a accueilli tres charmant et était toutjous la pour toute question. Une chose qui ´était bien sympa de la famille Vanmarcke: puisque le locataire avant nous a quitté la maison deja vendredi, il nous a proposé de venir déjà vendredi. Et hop, c´etait fait et nous avons gagné une journée de plus sans frais supplémentaire. Un grand merci encore à vous, la famille Vanmarcke.

The property is fantastic, and we had plenty of room, even though there were five adults and two dogs. The property is well equipped and provides a washing machine and dishwasher etc. There was also plenty or of room to park our two cars. The garden is really big, and perfectly child/dog friendly as it is well fenced in. We know Wissant well, and it's out third time staying there. The location is perfect and only around 5 or 10 minutes walk to the fantastic beach and a similar walk to the centre where the main bars and cafes are. As has been mentioned by others, the only slight difficulty was with the woman who we met when we arrived, as she speaks no English at all, so we really struggled to communicate with her. She was a nice lady, but the language barrier ensured that we did not know what she was trying to explain - as it transpires, it was that we had to pay some extra money at the end of our stay for the place to be cleaned - we had cleaned it ourselves to a high standard, but we still had to pay her the extra cash (I'm not sure if this was because of the dogs or what to be honest) - we were in a rush anyway, so we just paid it an left. If they are to continue to rent this property out to English guests, then the "meet and great" lady should really have some form of spoken English, or at the very least have a handbook that is written in English (the one they have is in French and German) All in all though, a really good place to stay

Nice property, lovely safe garden for small children. Happy to recommend it. The only negative is that the lady who meets and greets was quite rude. She speaks no English and seemed very cross that we were still in the property at 10 am on the day of departure and that we had started the dishwasher. There were no instructions in English and none referring to a 10 am check-out time. (We left at 10.20) But - we had a lovely week and would recommend this house.

Property had every thing we needed. Little difficulty with language barriers speaking to the lady who met us. Also the information pack was in French/ German . Garden was completely dog safe. Bed was a little hard. We did end of stay cleaning but there was nothing obvious to mop the floor with.The location was excellent - a 2 minute walk into the centre of Wissant. All the restaurants we went into allowed our dog in too ! We counted 7 dogs in one of the restaurants. Would be nice to return in summer when the place would be busier-very quiet in March.
