Maison à Lavercantière

We stayed 1 week in the house. It was just what we needed with a lovely cool room and bathroom downstairs and twin room with shower room up the spiral staircase. The house is charming with lots of original features, open fireplace and beautiful stone sink in the kitchen. The restaurant and shop across the road with swimming pool is very useful. Book the restaurant in advance as it gets busy! The pool though is not often busy maybe because it’s set back from the road.. Some lovely spots to visit- lake in Dégagnac 5 minutes drive away for walking and dog-swimming! Also lake at Catus for human swimming and little market on Tuesday mornings. Another fabulous market in Preyssac on Friday morning and Cahors with lots of lovely shops and beautiful 900 year old cathedral with coister and two domes.
